Burntwood Tavern

Was out kayaking with my father on ladue reservoir this afternoon and was absolutely ready to get some food in us after the paddle and baking in the sun. Decided we wanted to try and stop at a restaurant that would be relatively on our way back home. A quick search along the route and burntwood tavern made it to the top of our list.

We were seated quickly, the restaurant was virtually empty (it was around 3pm) except for a few parties sitting outside on the patio area.

The staff attended to us quickly, took out orders, and kept our drinks refilled very promptly. Appetizers arrived quickly (house salad for my dad, Angus sliders for us to share) he was happy with the house dressing and the sliders scratched the burger itch I wanted without having to order a full meal.

I ordered the harvest chicken salad and he ended up ordering the Angus burger (the slider was not enough to scratch that itch for him :) )

Food came quickly and hot. The marinade on the chicken was the first thing that hit my nose and it setup for an overall good (but perhaps a little small for the price) salad. The Angus burger was a proper size and came with a small basket of fries that ended up being perfect for us to both nibble from without being too large that they went to waste.

Overall, service was excellent and the food was great. Menu pricing is a little on the higher end but still reasonable, I think, given the general quality. I would have loved to see a bit more lettuce in my salad to fill it out a bit more but the rest of the items were decently proportioned.

Cozy restaurant with great vibe and tasty comfort food. Definitely in my return list.

We got smocked old fashion (very nice) lobster bisque (small but tender and tasty), shrimps tacos (very tender and tasty), and calamari (very… well I think you’ve already got it).

PS: They have happy hour on the week-ends!

Hey family, I was invited to this nice restaurant and we really enjoy ourselves
We had to wait to be seated and then was told to seat ourselves. Our server Miranda who was really nice came to our table and took our order.
I was amazed at how quick the food was serve and how it look great and at a very nice temperature rarely seen at most restaurants. That was definitely a plus and 6stars☆☆☆☆☆☆

We had an office retirement buffet lunch in the private area. Mike was great to work with to arrange the time. The food was amazing, and the service was even better! The atmosphere was very nice, but it was a bit noisy since only a curtain divides the private area from the main dining area. All in all we had a great experience and would do it again!

Great spot! I totally enjoyed finding this place. Bartender was very nice, Calamari was awesome and the Kentucky Bourbon barrel beer was delicious. I totally enjoyed this place!

The burger was delicious. The special sauce was delicious, and the burger was juicy. The Turkey BLT was also pretty good. It could have used some special sauce, too. The French fries were fresh and seasoned perfectly. We were in the area for hockey game. I am glad we stopped here.

The atmosphere was lovely and service was amazing. This was my first time at Burntwood tavern and I enjoyed it so much. We came at the start of happy hour. Megan was our server and I could gush about her all day. Never a moment with an empty glasses or hungry stomachs or most important an awkward moment. I can't wait to go back.

I reserved this location this past Sunday for my post graduation dinner party. My overall experience was amazing. From the start of me booking a 15 person reservation with Natisha (who by the way is very personable) to the end of my dinner party. Our waiter Daniel was very attentive. He was able to offer his opinions on different food and drink options. He let us know the popular menu options. He was quick to respond to my guest needs. Our food was very good! The pasta came out a little dry, but Daniel brought out more alfredo sauce with no problem to quickly fix it. That was great! My dinner started at 5pm on a Sunday which was considered happy hour (we couldn’t believe it, definitely a plus) Some of my guess ordered appetizers and drinks and those were all amazing, no complaints. Our experience was so good we asked to speak with the manager to let them know just how good it was. It happened to be Natisha. She has a very beautiful spirit. I’ll definitely be telling everyone about this location and I’ll be back very soon!

Love they happy hour meals and deals the drinks are very affordable picking from wines to house made special drinks! I always get a happy hour special just something for the stomach when drinking the 5 dollar glasses of really great wine!

Nice atmosphere except for crashing plates and the sound of glass breaking near our booth. Excellent server who came around at least 4 times to check on us. Very good and huge burntwood burger, great slider and salmon steak.

We had a party of 15 and had separate checks. Our server was very accommodating. All orders were correct and all food was served at the same time. Great job, thanks!

I met a friend at the Solon location for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere is comfortable and the decor is unique. There are many comfort food choices on the menu; all of them looked fantastic as they were being brought to other tables. My dinner choice was the burntwood burger. It was one of the best tasting burgers I had so far. It did not disappoint. Early in our dinner, the manager even stopped by the table to see if things were going well. I had requested that the manager stop back by the table after we were all finished up and the bill was paid. We extended more complements of how good the food was and the friendliness of the staff. The manager name was Mike and appreciated hearing the positive comments we had. When I have a GREAT experience at restaurants, I do like to speak with the manager directly about the awesome dining experience we had. I live in another state, but I would definitely like to dine there again when back in the area.

I live in KC but my office is in Cleveland. So a co-worker and I came for lunch here on his recommendation. Holy cow was the food great. In fact the whole menu looked so good I actually went back to Burntwood the next day! I had the fish and chips and I consider myself a fish and chips expert and this was one of the best baskets I’d ever had. Great local restaurant.

I have been to burntwood tavern in Solon two times in the last two weeks. The food, service and atmosphere has been amazing. It will definitely be a continued go to place.

Additionally, I want to point out the exceptional service my friends and I received. Viktor was our server tonight. He made us laugh and feel so appreciated. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable and made us all want him to work for us (we are managers in a different industry and said we all need a Viktor at our office). I hope to have him as my server in the future!!

We had my daughters bridal shower there. It was amazing! Great food, great service! The manager went above and beyond.
