Great Northern Gourmet

It was a very cozy quiet place to eat. The food was amazing! Our server was very sweet, we were in town for our honeymoon and she gave us a slice of delicious French lemon cake to celebrate! 😍 I would definitely recommend this place and I would suggest the beef tenderloin, it was the most tender steak I've ever had!! The shrimp scampi pasta dish was spicy but very flavorful!

The owner, Dayva, was extremely knowledgeable about wine and was so friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. My husband and I shared the caprese salad and the scampi plus he had the crab cakes and that was more than enough. Chocolate mousse for dessert served in a chocolate cup! Small restaurant with bistro ambience. We loved it and will go again.

Service was great, I came in with a party of 12. We were sat outside because the inside was fully booked on a Wednesday night so it was understandable.

Sara our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. All the taff was attentive and eager to please. The food was very good. See pictures attached.

Just popped in and they accomadated us with Wild Boar Hungarian Goulash! It was a wine pairing evening and we were not dressed to stay but the service and food was outstanding. We will be back!

If you enjoy being just on just the edge of the hustle and bustle of downtown bigfork, (by like 100 feet). Where you can watch the sun set, have some high quality dinner and service. Oh and the seating is wonderful, open and airy. Maybe you prefer inside where it is cool and quiet with wine bar vibes. Owner ran and operated.

Really good food! Be sure and check hours opened! HIGHLY recommend the lemon chicken pizza I have pics of!! AMAMZING!!!!!!

Been numerous times, always take guests. The truffle fries, grilled Caesar, the tomahawk special, and the lasagna are all phenomenal. Cute place, great outdoor seating and the inside has a funky bistro feel.

The most perfectly cooked steak we have had in years! The flavor and tenderness is better than some of the nicest steak houses.

We had a great meal and excellent service! The menu was great: three types of steak, seafood, lots of salads, and app choices!

The crab cakes are delicious! Our server, Shannon, was very nice & helpful. Definitely worth stopping by.

I was told about this place, made the drive to check it out last night, and had a fantastic experience. I will be returning! The first impressions of the joint undersell; we had excellent service alongside such fantastic dishes.

Tapas-style allows for tasting more of the menu than traditional entree-menus. It's a fun dining set-up for groups, as you get to pass around, share, and all engage in the tasting process. They know their wines and can recommend great pairs. I'm a fan!

After 18 years of working in the restaurant industry, Chef Bradley is one of the best restaurateurs I have ever worked for. Chef Bradley is insanely creative, humble, and inspirational... He strains himself to make every experience memorable for his patrons, treats his staff with dignity and respect, and has dedicated his heart and soul into his endeavors... I hope you love the experience of his expertise, as much as I enjoyed working with him!

This is a great place. Does Jimmy John's (see negative review) have Himalayan sea salt on the table? The salad I had recently was incredible and Brad (owner) accommodated some adjustments for me without even blinking. Lots of interesting and creative items using very high quality ingredients. Worth the trip if you're anywhere in the FH valley as it's one of the best places to eat high quality food.

Excellent place to dine! great beer selection, menu is a good price, great homemade soups. The bison burger is huge and covered in grilled onions; great value. My wife got the duck tacos which were amazing as well; it's a great twist on duck. The restaurant has an A+ health and cleanliness rating. Also the owners are very friendly and courteous. Best food and service in Bigfork!

This restaurant is one of the best that I’ve ever been to. It’s got the best decor, atmosphere and a wonderful attentive server. Everything is so FRESH! I would eat here every night if I could. The food is very divine. Thank you for the best food and customer service.

I noticed ONE horrible review and HAD TO put my 2 cents in. I've had the food here on several occasions and have never been disappointed in the least! As a lifelong chef in numerous quality establishments, I can assure you that I am always critical but the quality of service and product at GNG is top notch. Their knowledge of wine and pairings is spot on and the menu is fun and ever-changing. A proper "research" of chef Brad's experience would show that he was previously employed as one of the main chefs at The Iron Horse GOLF CLUB in Whitefish MT (a member-exclusive establishment) where he furthered his reputation for making delicious food and thinking outside the box. Try Great Northern Gourmet and you will be glad you did!

Their wild mushroom dishes are unique and perfect for fancy people who like feeling special, pampered and like to forget about the reality of what the concentration wealth is doing to this country.
