La Cocina de Ana

Really good authentic Mexican take and bake. They have some food ready that you can just swing by and pick up, but there are other foods that they need an advanced notice to prepare.

Even though you're only there for a few minutes to pick up food, take time to appreciate the decoration inside, it makes you feel like you're outside in Mexico even though you're in a strip mall in Plymouth.

When I called the day before they were very helpful with determining how much food is needed for several people.

Make sure you call into the right location as they are on opposite sides of the cities! I called into the wrong one and they were able to move quickly to make it all work for me. They were very nice and gracious during this mixup. Their West St Paul location is near the airport, I'll have to remember that next time I'm flying in!

I've been ordering foods from the Plymouth location for years. Ana is wonderful! Everyone is always friendly and ready to help. Nice selection of dishes to take and bake. Personal favorites are the Shrimp Ceviche (appetizer), the Arroz con Maiz (rice and corn side dish) and the Tinga de Pollo (Chicken Tinga). Actually, I'd feel good about ordering anything on their menu.

The Paella is such an amazing awesome treat! So glad I was able to score some today! Also the flan is always delicious. Highly recommend!

Excellent, stop here weekly . As a realtor, resident and school parent in the area I always suggest this place to my clients moving here. We’ve tried it all over the years but Chicken poblano is our go to. Super easy to pick up near ice rink for quick dinner.

I came here because I was craving for soup! I didn't know it was pre-made soup and I was about to be disappointed because I was staying st a hotel with no oven. Then the owner said let me see what I can do! She had the kitchen warm up the food for me with rice and I was able to take back to the hotel and enjoy my hot meal. I am always impressed with Business Owners who are willing to improvise and make decisions that enhance customer experience. I too understand they don't have to, however when they do it shows they care about their clients. Thank you Ana for your hospitality and generosity.

We have been eating their amazing ceviche for years thanks to friends. This is the first time we ordered for a full meal (for 10)! The owner helped with the order 2 days ahead, we picked it up, and all of it was ready with only 30 min oven time for our special occasion dinner! It was like a catered dinner! Everyone ate so much there was no room for dessert! I made a popular salad that no one touched- because the la Cocina de Ana was so good!! Would highly recommend. They should and could charge more- we would pay! Will enjoy every bite of leftovers!

10/10 authentic. Tamales are to die for. I easily have them in my top 3 in the Metro, #1 in Plymouth.

Great place to pick up food that is ready to cook and serve in no time. Every recipe I’ve tried has been excellent. Nothing turns out dry and the amount of spice is just right for all family members. Great choice for planning ahead and sometimes I just pick up something to throw in the oven that night.

Great service and great food! Call the day of to place your order, pickup a little before dinner time, throw in the oven and you have a fabulous dinner without all the effort! Highly recommend the Puerco con Poblano. Plus many more.

¡Delicious! The food is authentic Mexican comfort food. I’m from central Mexico and it tasted like Sunday meals at my grandparents. My husband (born and raised in the Midwest) loved loved the pork and paired it with corn tortillas. I had the Chiles anchos and I was extremely delighted. I could not believe I was getting an authentic taste in Minnesota.

We tried La Cocina de Ana for the firs time last night, and they have made a new customer for life! We called in and asked for ordering advice and were able to get a perfect meal for our group. The food was authentic, delicious and I can't wait to place my next order!

I love this place! The food is amazing, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is ready for you to take home! I ordered it for a birthday party and we get it for dinner fairly often. GREAT customer service too!

Picked up a couple of dishes to take home. They are packaged to just throw in the oven. Both were delicious! Tons of flavor. We ordered the Chilaquiles Verdes (enchiladas) and Tinga de Res (Stewed Beef, w/ tomatoes and onions). We made tacos with the beef and they were amazing.

We can't say enough great things about Ana's! The food is always incredible, so fresh, and the prices are great! We love the concept of take and bake Mexican, and we especially love that the quality and selection multiple steps above your average metro area Mexican restaurant! Lastly the shrimp ceviche is a dish I could live on!

First time here, and not having read the signs on the window I didn’t realize that it was a takeout of prepared food. But, Ana educated me taking into account some food restrictions. (And, gave me some tips for specific ingredient replacements if I order ahead in the future.)

I purchased several things, and oh my goodness – how delicious. I’ll be back!

I had the pleasure of meeting Ana last evening at her store front as I picked up dinner for my friends and me. She was absolutely lovely, and in listening to her describe the food I had selected (guacamole, rice with corn, black beans with chorizo, chilaquiles de pollo), it's clear that she pours her heart and soul into these dishes. The food was delectable, and I would highly recommend to others. It's also a lot of food - I ordered for three of us, and I opted for medium-sized portions of all three dishes and a small portion of guacamole, and there were plenty of leftovers. Wonderful!

Amazing , delicious food. The owner was kind, warm, sweet and patient explaining all the food in great detail. Lovely little place.
