Captain Tim was amazing! We did the sunset trip. In addition to spectacular views of the coast and lighthouse, Tim took us to all the right spots and we hooked a striper on the very first cast! Husband and I also hooked fish at the same time a few times, leading to hilarity. Towards the end of the trip we were so tired of catching fish that we were relieved when Tim said it was time to go back! Tim is also a great instructor, using positive feedback to help with technique and success. Cannot recommend enough.

My son and I chose Montauk for our first striped bass fishing experience and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our guide Tim was very helpful with helping me improve my fly-casting technique in saltwater. He had us prepared for spin casting, as well, whatever the circumstances dictated for catching fish. He put us on fish all afternoon. He was very experienced, professional, and personable. I highly recommended Montauk Point Fly Fishing for anyone looking for the Long Island striper fishing experience.

Tim at Montauk Point Fly Fishing is a true professional. His experience with fly fishing the waters off Montauk are second to none. Had a great time catching Striped bass and my first False Albacore of the year. I’ll be back.

We had a great trip with Captain Tim. We were on blitzing Stripers and False Albacore all morning. I'm just breaking into saltwater flying and Tim was a big help. The Albie's were finicky but we landed a bunch of Stripers and Chub Mackerel on the fly. His knowledge of Montauk waters and timing the tides for various spots was spot on. His Sage Fly rods were awesome. We also did some light tackle spin fishing when appropriate.
