I love Banana Leaves! I've been twice and both times they did not disappoint. It was clean, the cuisine was on point, and the service was impeccable. I ordered a seaweed salad, Tom kha soup, and Pad Thai with Tofu the first time. The second time I ordered Singapore noodles which were superb. They also served complimentary fruit with the meal which was an added bonus. It was beautifully plated and a refreshing treat. I was truly blown away that such an impressive restaurant was located inside of a Best Western Hotel. That is not an insult to Best Western, it was just a pleasant surprise!

Nicely renovated restaurant with comfortable seating in the Best Western. Great service and food, which was totally unexpected for a random hotel restaurant. The food here is a mix of pan Asian cuisine, with Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, Indian, and other cultures probably that I just can't name off the top of my head represented.

I've been twice and the food was excellent both times. Same waitress who is totally lovely. I highly recommend the roti with curry appetizer and the crazy roll if you like a fried sushi (it's a gut bomb but a delicious one). Their Thai tea is perfect, just the way it should be. It's not a fine dining sort of level of quality, but it's very solid food at a great price. You really get a ton of food on any dish too. I was surprised how many pieces of sushi came with the lunch special.

They're also very kind about allergies and will listen/confirm anything you need changed.

The rainbow roll, spider roll, Bali tofu (fried and topped with peanut sauce, sprouts, and sliced cucumber), and the fried shrimp were DELICIOUS! The service is friendly, professional, and efficient. We chose this as a convenient restaurant near the airport, but it’s worth coming back to try even more delicious food. Highly recommend!

Today, my friends and I had the pleasure of trying the exquisite flavors of Southeast Asia at your restaurant on its opening day. The Drunken Noodle, Baba Malay Curry Chicken, and Thai Fried Rice were exceptional, each bursting with authentic taste and perfectly balanced spices. It's evident that your culinary expertise shines through in every dish. Thank you for such a delightful dining experience, and we can't wait to return to savor more of your delicious creations!

I noticed this restaurant tucked away near the Best Western Plus. They have a mixture of cuisine from Southeast Asia with a generous vegetarian and vegan selection (clearly marked). I was greeted pleasantly when I entered and offered a choice of seating (booth or table), and informed that today was the 3rd day that they had been open for. They have some tables outside that are presently not open for service, but plan to be in the future. Menus are already at each table and staff are willing to give you additional as well. Prices are fairly standard when compared to similar restaurants. Portions are good as well.

I sampled several different items here. The Thai tea wasn’t excessively sweet and had a good flavor profile. There was a large amount of ice that I wasn’t fond of. I received 5 crab rangoons, which had a good layer of cream cheese and real crab meat. Most restaurants, if not all, I’ve been to have a sweet cream cheese layer. I liked that it was more savory than sweet, and the real crab meat also stood out. It pairs extremely well with the sauce. The chicken satay is out of this world. It’s good enough to eat by itself, and pairs really well with the peanut sauce. The chicken karaage is juicy and has some crunch as well from the breading. The sauce is also a nice touch.

For the main entree, I ordered a Baba Malay Curry Chicken. It had a good amount of spice for the standard customer, and suggested to staff that they have an option to increase spice level for fellow spice lovers. The curry itself was delectable, the chicken, tofu, and vegetable blend was hearty, and I could eat that all day. There was a significant portion of curry compared to rice. I would have wanted the option for brown rice, if possible. For dessert, I ordered an ice jelly. This was totally new for me. It was a gelatinous dessert garnished with mango, pineapple, and a brown sugar syrup. It was not overtly sweet, and the fruit/syrup went well with the jelly.

I plan to come back here for dinner to try the sushi and some of the other items. It seems like a great date night spot. This restaurant introduces a lot of dishes that the Huntsville/Madison area doesn’t have.

DELICIOUS! I saw this new restaurant a couple weeks ago while trying to find something for dinner but they were closed. So, finally made it. And it did not disappoint. I ordered both the roti canai and crab Rangoon since I couldn't decide. Will absolutely order both again. Decided on the sushi deluxe combo that comes with 4 sushi and a California roll. And the Thai chicken basil. Again...everything looked good. The menu isn't very large but there are plenty of options. The sushi was delicious (Wasabi was on pont!). I subbed the onions and bell peppers for cabbage in the thai basil and had combination with chicken, beef. And shrimp. I also let them know that I had a food allergy and the waitress was made sure there wasn't any cross contamination. The staff was very attentive and made sure I was happy with my order. Unfortunately, there were only 3 other patrons while I was there. I gave atmosphere 4 stars, only because the music that was playing was a little loud. The restaurant was very clean. I don't think they have their alcohol license yet, but I think their business will pick up more once it is. I can't say enough for how great my experience has been. Will definitely come back!

We discovered this little restaurant tonight. It is located in the Best Western Plus on Madison Blvd. We had the chicken Satay for an appetizer, the chicken Katsu, chicken teriyaki, the Eggplant and Tofu stirfry and a mango and coconut milk dessert. All the food was delicious and the staff were very nice! Their food variety includes food from Indonesia, Japan (including sushi), Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and China. I would recommend you visit if you are Near the Madison area!

Another hidden gem in Huntsville if you want best quality experience of Sushi and try some real authentic Asian food within budget of $4 appetizers to a $12-23 fresh delicious sushi entrè.
Sushi entrè comes in with hot miso soup and vegies.

Most ordes are already good for two- three persons. You should come with empty stomach to enjoy your meal.

Recommended food:

📍all sushi - 5/5 or more comes with house salad and miso soup
📍tom kha soup - 4.5 ( it is SPICY) as the server if don’t want it spicy
📍fried shumai- 5/5 comes in 6 pieces
📍tuna lover ( RAW) 5/5 - so fresh comes with soup and house salad
📍curry laksa 5/5- recommendable for VEGAN people
📍pad thai - 4.5 /5 so authetic ask the server if you don’t want it spicy

I really enjoyed dining at Banana Leaves. My party had Crab rangoon, Pad Thai and a sushi dish. The pad Thai was good and the sushi was good also. We just had basic California rolls for the Maki, but it tasted very fresh. Same fir the nigiri, particularly the salmon. The Wasabi was pretty zingy- most Wasabi I try isn't very strong. The only negatives I would say is thad the salad that came with my meal was very small and that the beer could have been colder. The service was also very good. I look forward to coming back to dine here again.

We've seen Banana Leaves open up shop for several months now, but we're always skeptical about the location tucked away in the Best Western. I'm super glad we ventured in and explored the menu. The inside was newly renovated and clean, and the staff was super friendly and attentive.

Our family of 4 grabbed an early dinner here grabbing a little bit of everything off the menu. The appetizers came out fresh and hot (dumplings, gyoza and roti canai). Kids scarfed down the roti rather quickly but the small silver I had was tasty (flaky bread with a slight sweetness to it) esp with the curry dipping sauce. This will be a staple moving forward.

The soups were on point and not overly salty like some places (miso and tom yum). The tom yum had a nice spice/heat to it, which i enjoy) but the wife prefers creamier tom yums.

We ended up trying the sushi (few standard sashimis and a spider roll). My daughter professes that this was her favorite spider roll ever. It was standard sushi. Nothing Wow (the spider roll was good), but also nothing bad. If i was jonesing for sushi and here, i'd get it again. But some of the Tuna/yellowtaill seemed fishy.

We also got the chicken katsu, some malaysian noodles and the eggplant/tofu. They were all tasty and phenomenal. The highlights for us were the eggplant/tofu and my son's katsu.

so glad we've got another asian option on this side of madison. Don't be scared of the best western, Banana Leaves was a welcomed pleasant surprise for us and will be repeat customers. 5 stars overall for service, environment and food. The food itself is probably around. 4 star place for huntsville.

This place is awesome, don't let its connection to the Best Western turn you away. Service was incredibly nice, sushi was amazing, and it's no problem to ask for a substitution. I asked for a tuna roll sub on my Sushi Deluxe. Unfortunately this place doesn't seem to have much business, so stop by and check it out!

Thumbs up for the service offered by the crew here. Food really nice, perhaps similar to the taste from Southeast Asia. Small fruit platter been served after the meal.

We originally found Banana Leaves through Uber Eats. They offer great savings and free food through this delivery service. We finally visited the restaurant in person, and were a little off-put by the Italian relics from the past, but we were pleased once we entered the dining room. Also note, it is attached to a hotel and accessible through the lobby. Our server was kind, attentive, and evenspoke Chinese with my partner. The food was amazing in person (it is with delivery too). Prices are fair. It is overall a great Japanese restaurant.

Don't let the Best Western scare you away, this place is awesome! I wanted some quick sushi for lunch and they did not disappoint. The restaurant was very nice and clean and the service was great. Prices were reasonable. They even have some Malaysian options and some spicier alternatives that you can't find elsewhere in Huntsville.

Our server was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The Basil chicken was delicious with the white rice, and the Thai fried rice was light in oil content compared to most fried rice, which I liked, but flavorful. Also, the shrimp tempura roll was very good but I would ask them to cut them into 5 or 6 pieces instead of 4. Other than that it was a great experience and I'll definitely be going back.

Excellent sushi and customer service! We are borderline sushi snobs :). Generous cuts of flavorful fish on each nigiri/roll. Even the California rolls taste amazing. Looks like they take pride in their work. Our new go to for sushi. Will be back to try the other cuisines.
