Aker Eye Downtown

Both members of our family, Steve and Melody, were seen by Aker Eye Vision, recently. (as in past years, also). The reason for this review is because of the care received from Melissa (optical associate), on 8/14/24, at the downtown location. The purpose for seeing Melissa was to fulfill the prescription received from Dr. Aker. Melissa was the ultimate in professionalism. Her concerns were to provide thorough information concerning every option available, and in a clear and informative manner. There was no bias, no prejudice - nothing but concern for meeting the needs of the client/patient. She thoroughly explained the differences between progressive lenses, bifocals, types of frames, materials, financial options, and more. When I was indecisive, she assisted by offering details, so an informed decision could be made. She is confident, polite, positive, professional and thorough. I do not give top ratings, unless earned, and have only given the highest rating once - ever. With that being said, Melissa EARNED the highest rating - and - in a caring, polite, and professional manner. She is huge (HUGE) asset to Aker Eye Vision Source.

I see Dr Sarah. She is the best eye doctor I have ever had. And I have seen eye doctors for about 60 years. She and the staff are thorough and answer all the questions you might have. I highly recommend her and the entire team.
And, if you need new lenses and have frames you like, bring them with you. There is no pressure to buy new frames. I appreciate that.

Aker Eye Care has great staff. They were very professional and friendly. They answered all my questions, made me feel comfortable, and didn’t make me wait for long. I went in for an initial exam and was out in a very respectable time. Dr. Aker was fast and friendly too. Several of my family, friends, and coworkers have been to Aker Eye Care and have nothing but good to say about them as well. I’m actually looking forward to getting my first pair of glasses from them soon.

Dr.Aker was very pleasant and so was his staff. I was seen in a timely manner. I was very pleased being that it was the first time I’d ever been there. I highly recommend his office for eye care.

Dr. Aker, Dr. Bradley and their entire staff are incredible. Mere words cannot describe the appreciation I feel for the type of care giving by this incredible team. It's been frustrating, and disheartening in finding any physician to care for my son's medical needs since reaching adulthood (being a person with multiple special needs). During a personal appointment with Dr. Aker I told him about my son and he told me that they would see him. He directed me to Dr. Bradley in the Playalinda office, who is warm and caring. She listened and gave my son the care that warmed my heart.

My son had a scratch on his cornea which had gotten progressively worse. I called on a Saturday just to leave a message for Dr. Bradley for a different antibiotic, as we had discussed on Friday. I never expected Dr. Aker to return my call and had us come into his office on a Saturday. Needless to say my son could have possibly lost totally vision in that eye, but Glory to God! Dr. Aker placed him on stronger antibiotics, his eye has healed.

I Praise God for sending me to Dr. Aker for my own care and even more grateful that my son has been blessed to be seen there as well. I'm even more grateful that my son was seen as a person and a patient, who deserves the same care as all other's.

Thank you to Dr. Aker, Dr. Bradley and the entire staff at both locations for your care, compassion and kindness. Thank you for adding some joy and peace to my life. May God continue to bless your lives abundantly.

I love Dr K and the staff at Akers eye center. They're friendly & efficient. In particular Dr K is quite through in answering questions, being proactive, and taking the time to explain what she sees. Lastly, she cares for both my parents, who are 87 & 91 with gentleness and listens to them without interruption before responding to their questions. Hands down she's the best well-rounded ophthalmologist in the area in my opinion.

Very friendly staff! They display the utmost professionalism. I found the office was very clean and comfortable. I had little to no waiting time of my scheduled appointment.
Dr. Jennifer Bradley is very thorough and professional. I will definitely go back next time I need eye care or new glasses.

Additionally, the staff at the eye glass store on the first floor also provide the best glasses for their customers..!! It is great to have a one-stop exam and glasses shopping experience done so well..!

Dr.:Aker and his team are thorough with the eye examination, friendly and courteous to us, and ready to help answer questions we have had regarding eye conditions. Excellent service beginning from the Staff to the Dr’s especially Dr. Aker. I had a very bad and bloody eye and I texted him w/a pic of my eye on Monday at about 7:30 and he immediately responded and asked me to meet him at the office at 8a. Now, this is a conscientious Dr. To say the least. Thank you Dr Aker for your prompt response and your help! Thanks to you, my eye is doing much better!!!! I pray continued blessing and success!

All of the doctors are terrific. I have been a patient for about 12 years and have seen each of the doctors. They are all top notch. The staff are super friendly and helpful! The eye assist that I had today was fantastic! All of the eye assistants have always been good. Both locations are great!

I feel so comfortable at Aker Eye Downtown. It's conveniently located next to many delicious restaurants (Sunrise Bread for lunch, then Mad Udder for a dessert later!). The interior feels relaxing but sanitary. The staff provide welcoming and reassuring service, with interactions feeling more conversational than scripted.

I've ordered many cosmetic contacts by phone through Aker Eye Downtown, and the service is helpful and empathetic. The glasses' center is filled with personable and helpful staff, and the medical appointments feel relaxed and stress-free. I highly recommend Aker Eye Downtown.

Experience with Dr Aker was awesome. All staff are friendly and awesome. Even the staff of optical are awesome and will explain to you. The optical welcomes you anytime to
have your frames adjusted. I would highly recommend you this office.

As usual, Dr. Aker and his staff are top notch! A shout out to Tiffany for being, so friendly,

Visiting Dr. Aker is always a pleasure. I go once a year mostly and love catching up when I get there. Front staff and Tiffany were awesome today! I'm talking about everyone, folks. Up stairs in this downtown building is made into a beautiful rustic, at home experience, with modern technology for your eyes and down stairs to dress up those eyes! Best Eye Doctor and staff I’ve ever visited. I’ve been going there for many years now. I saw a few others early on and none compared to the service or expertise as doctor Aker and his staff. Always available in emergency’s also.

Dr. Aker and his staff are kind, professional, knowledgeable, respectful and personable. The office and optical areas are decorated nicely, are very clean, cool and comfortable. Nothing negative about this office.

Dr. Bradley and staff are top notch. They make you feel at home and safe, even during a crazy lightning storm that caused a power surge and loss of all electronic capabilities. No one skipped a beat and all tests were completed timely so that my doctor consultation was possible.

Started seeing dots in my right eye this week, thought it was nothing but called anyway, the office got me right in on a Friday afternoon. Dr. Aker quickly diagnosed the issue and through his professional network was able to schedule me with a specialist who came in on a day off for urgent laser surgery to repair a torn retina the next morning (Saturday!!). If I had to wait it could have been so much worse, maybe even a detached retina! Dr Aker even texted me right after the Saturday am procedure for follow up and encouragement! This is truly how you run a patient-centric practice. I’m grateful to be one of his patients and to be so well taken care of. 💕🤓🙏🚀😊

Absolutely the very best eye doctor I’ve ever been to. Her devotion, kindness, knowledge, and true interest in me as a patient was evident from the very first meeting. If all doctors were like Dr. Kinneman, the world would be such a lovely place. Truly a fabulous, intelligent, caring doctor you can trust. So happy I found her.
