We’ve been to Josefina a few times and leave each visit more impressed than the last. Service is always impeccable and we love the cocktails! Our favorite was the martini sets, we split a small and loved it. We can’t wait to come back for a large with some friends!

Plant lovers dream restaurant! As in, the design of the place was beautiful with houseplants at everywhere. And the food was AMAZING. We had the Araceli app, rigatoni, and peach cobbler. So fantastic. And the atmosphere was great, great service.

First time coming here and our food was delicious. Had the scallops, carbonara, brussels sprouts and salmon appetizer. They made some modifications, per my request on the scallops and they were so good. The Brussels were a bit too salty.

The ambiance was cute, but it made it seem like it was more casual than what I think it should be.

The waitstaff, hostesses and even valet were top notch.

Visited Josefina with a group and had a blast. Josefina team were fun and attentive, adding to the lively vibe of the evening. Appetizers and entrees were delicious! I recommend the Arancini appetizer and Gemelli pasta!

Wonderful experience! Reservations are recommended.

Cocktails are really nice and pasta is authentic!! Portions are not huge, but that’s how, IMHO, you can truly enjoy an Italian dinner without feeling gross after. 😝 they have an attractive dessert menu too, but we didn’t have room,

Not photographed are the Brussel sprouts, those were phenomenal. And if you’re looking for a pizza without cheese, the Mariana will satisfy that. 👍🏼

This was wonderful. We came with a group of 7 celebrating 5 birthdays. We ordered a few drinks. Waiter offered us focaccia not realizing it was not complimentary. But it was delish so we were not that upset about it. The garlicky and saltiness was 👍🏽. He gave us complimentary desserts which were little cannolis. Also a nice treat. Waiter was super nice and worked with us as one of us was late from her hospital job, God bless our nurses! Ambiance was very relaxed not rushing us out. Just a little loud because we were seated right by the kitchen. Pretty much just agreeing with the rest of the reviews.

Absolutely divine experience at this beautiful place ✨ I love everything about the design inside, from the intricate trim around the door to the gorgeous light fixtures ✨ the mood is set - all the colors together are designed to relax my eyes and prepare my appetite.

It was a beautiful day to enjoy out in the patio with very unique plant design on the wall. Everything on the menu is excellent - there is something for every taste 🤍 can’t wait to enjoy another summer day here ✨

Great atmosphere that included families dining, couples on dates, and friends gathering. The service was excellent (Kenia was our server). The food was well-paced, and everything tasted amazing. We had grilled prawns, roasted beets, beef tartare, fungi pizza, carbonara pasta and cavatelli pasta, with the budino for dessert. Wine pairings and the Sparkling Tea were exceptional as well.

Fantastic from start to finish! My husband and I came to Josefina to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed. The cocktails were unique and fun, the focaccia bread was so good we got a second order of it, the pork chop was deliciously tender and I couldn’t get over the chocolate mousse for dessert. The service was also top notch and I really enjoyed the overall vibe of the place. Highly recommend!

Such a cute little Italian vibe. The ambiance was super cute, loved the plants, all servers seemed very professional and kind, and the food was very good.

Burrata appetizer- So delicious!

Pappardelle w braised oxtail sauce- very good 👍🏼

Spaghetti Carbonara- tasty!

I had the fancy aperol spritz and it was simple yet just what I was looking for. The other beverage I had was a bit more floral and so tasty!

I look forward to coming back!

Josefina is outstanding! Every aspect of the menu is wonderful. The pasta dishes are unlike ones at other Italian restaurants. Simple yet elegant. Nepolitan pizzas are cruncy and chewy with fun combinations, yet we keep going back for the Margherita. A solid selection of appetizers and antipasto. Would like to see malbec on the wine list, by the glass, and by the bottle. Also, the only proseco offered is by the glass. Minor constructive offerings for management. At the end of the day, if you have not been to Josefina, you need to go!

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the Twin Cities area for sure. It is located in Wayzata, which is already by itself beautiful. Food-wise, fusili negra is a must, which is probably why they have this dish on their lunch, dinner, and takeout menus. I mean, it is lobster pasta, so why would you miss it? I also like radiatore, mafaldini cacio e pepe, and pappardelle. I am not sure if they still have butternut squash ravioli, but that is a solid one as well, if it is available to order. The agnoloti, I will say, can be a hit or miss, depending on people's desire on tasting the veal and pork, because the meat is not as strong. As for dessert, they have excellent chocolate budino and I highly recommend it. Keep in mind that I have only had the pasta here so far, so if you are looking for a review on their brunch or pizzas, then this review will not be helpful. Taking a walk by the lake after dinner at Josefina is an activity you should consider, after getting Ben and Jerry's ice cream not far from here 😉

Ambience, service, and food was amazing! We used the valet service for parking for $10 credit card only. We came thirty minutes early for our reservation. The host sat us right away. The aesthetics of the restaurant were so trendy from the wallpaper to the basket net chairs. Our food came pretty fast within 5-7 minutes. It was surprising because we didn’t get our drinks yet but it came shortly after. No big deal to us. We ordered the Prosciutto Pizza, Spaghetti Amatriciana, and Rigatoni Diavolo. The pizza was savory. Pastas were perfectly al dente and the sauce was super delicious with a hint of spice. For drinks, the presentation was so unique and cute! We got the Martini, Negroni Bianco, and La Cosa Carina. All were very aromatic and fragrant. I would recommend trying this new Italian restaurant! Worthy of coming back to try other items from the menu.

Josefina, we had our confirmed reservation yesterday. We were going to celebrate a big birthday with family . When we arrived around 19:00 we found your door closed, lights out. You did not leave us a message, no communication whatsoever. It would be nice to notify us but you did NOTHING !This is NOT the way to treat your costumers! Huge disappointment!!!
Update: 3 days later restaurant responded , we shall see what happens next.
My update to my experience at Josefina yesterday 6/19/22
It was a great evening with my family. I need to admit Josefina and its team completely impressed me. Starting from the moment we entered to the time we left the restaurant. Josefina has a very unique floor plan : there are like three different locations to sit and enjoy your dinner.
There is a patio with a retractable roof and the patio heaters if needed. The patio is very nice.
The menu has many different varieties from pasta to seafood like oysters, scallops etc.
We had a few different drinks: Fiore, Waka Waka, La Cosa Carina. Waka was great , La Cosa was just too sweet.
My appetizer was Crab and Asparagus. The presentation was good but it was too salty for my taste and very little crab meat. The seared scallops were the best I ever had with cannellini, smoked pancetta and peas…an absolutely phenomenal dish full of flavors. We tried two different pizzas, they were good and simple. Wine we had was called Giunco…very smooth , perfect for the scallops.
Amy, our waitress was phenomenal...so helpful and so knowledgeable...thank you Amy. I would have to stay there for a week to try everything ...The food, the vibe was great, we will be back. I would recommend making an appointment, weekends are very busy.I just wish your closing hours would be later. The restrooms were clean and nicely decorated.
Thank you team at Josefina , great job.5 stars

We have been “wowed” at Josefina several times now. Last night was no exception. The restaurant staff was welcoming upon our arrival. Our server Matt was fantastic and friendly! The kitchen, visible from the tables was humming along and the food was amazing! We sampled from across the menu; Salmon, Mackerel, Burrata, Tortellini, Scallops, Rigatoni Diavolo and the smoked pork chop! Everything was beautifully plated and freshly prepared. Somehow we had room for the Gelato at the end of the night! Gorgeous location too! Highly recommend you visit and take your time for a great night out.

We were super excited to try Josefina in downtown Wayzata -- which has been long overdue for a new, upscale dinner spot. Josefina blew it out of the water and is hands down the best restaurant on Lake St E!

We arrived right after 5pm (the door said hours are 5pm-9pm currently) and were able to get a seat at the bar as they were pretty full with reservations. Moving forward I would definitely recommend getting a reservation if you want to dine-in.

The bartenders Blue and Quinn served us and were not only extremely kind & entertaining, but knowledgeable on the menu and gave excellent recommendations.

We ordered Suppli al Telefono (not pictured, as we inhaled them--they're arancini), cauliflower scapece, the grilled boneless chicken, the bistecca (a porterhouse steak which was OUTSTANDING), and spaghetti amatriciana. The food came out very quickly and each dish cooked to perfection. Seasoned well, unique flavors and sauces, along with the best al dente pasta. Just absolutely phenomenal. We were too stuffed for dessert but the menu looked to die for as well.

The decor is full of beautiful plant touches, golden accents, and gorgeous greens. It looks like there will be an outdoor patio coming soon and there is even a designated pizza set up that had several employees constantly operating.

Josefina is going to absolutely DOMINATE moving forward and we can't wait to continue supporting this fantastic venue!

Delicious! Classic dishes are served in a unique but not pretentious way, and there were dishes I've never heard of but glad I tried.

Only complaint I would have is it gets a bit noisy when the restaurant is filled. I think something to do with the walls and flooring - while very open, it's really echoey.

What a lovely restaurant! The patio is beautiful and everything is so green (we love plant vibes). I had the bone marrow pasta and it did not disappoint. Looking forward to coming back here again.
Reservations highly recommended.

We snuck in for a last minute late night reservation last weekend and sat at the pizza bar. We dived into as many dishes as we could manage with a glass of wine and left reveling at the amount of satisfaction and good conversations we had over the meal. They also passed a complimentary order of meatballs over the bar as we admired the deeply hued, jammy sauce as they were packing things up for the evening. 🤌🏽

Have gone twice now and it’s worth all the hype! A great location for a restaurant of this nature, I’m so pumped to have a quality seafood spot near home too. On top of a unique and delicious menu that has something for everyone, the service is outstanding. Waiters and bartenders know the menu inside and out, offer recommendations and care about your experience. Bring a friend to share multiple plates!
