Smokey Bones Rockford

The corn bread was amazing with the pecan butter. I loved the pecan butter so much that the waitress gave me some to take back home. The sauces on the table were all good but none were the rib sauce. My sister and I waited a bit for our food, they weren’t crowded so not sure why it took long for our food to come out. Over all everything was delicious and I will be back!

We got the big pot for 4 people and appetizers food was great the presentation 👌 😋 comes out with a hot coal still burning to keep the meat hot 🔥 🥵 just look at the picture and go try it!

Was lucky enough to get Kaitlyn as my server she was truly awesome and she recommended the wings, which were absolutely delicious!! Also got some ribs and they were just right, ended with the Banana Pudding which was the perfect finish!! Over all everything was excellent and I will be back!

If you like good barbaque, make it yourself. If you don't have 16 hours this is a pretty good place to go instead! the food was very tasty and large portions too. Wide variety of meats and sides and the drink menu isn't too shabby either!

There are a few different sauces on the table for you to choose from or mix and match as you please which I appreciate. The Chipotle sauce or the tried and true hickory KC sauce are tied for my faves.

The appetizers are awesome, especially the Korean BBQ pork belly pops. So good I remember their full government name from the menu.

Lots of tasty drinks that are reasonably priced when taken into account with the price of the meals.

Overall pretty good food, friendly staff, good drinks!

The food was amazing, we got Kaitlyn as a server and she was very helpful and kind.

Our family of six came here for my son's birthday. Everything we ordered was amazing!! For an appetizer we ordered the cheese fries with extra brisket! Zoe was great!

Enjoyed a late lunch. Restaurant was quiet (seems like so many restaurants have their music turned up too loud), and our server was fantastic - kept our drinks refilled and checked in with us several times. The food was great and served quickly. Cool atmosphere as well

Our server Kaitlyn was so good. We came in with a large party and she did really good at handling everything, making sure drinks were always filled and checked back on frequently if we needed anything.

Amber did a great job serving our large party. She split the checks, got all the orders correct, and kept our drinks full. The food came out hot and was delicious. The dining area and restrooms were very clean.

We came to celebrate our anniversary and were treated royally. The portions were huge, and servers were attentive. We chose the ribs and the house BBQ sauce was delicious. We ended our meal with the banana pudding dessert. It was more than enough for two people and we highly recommend it.
We will definitely return.

Almost everything was perfect.
The food 99.9% amazing. Chicken cooked wonderful, perfect amount of bbq sauce, pork perfectly made.
However, the ribs were not tender at all way too difficult to pull apart, and some of the potato wedges burnt to the point of no flavor. The mac & cheese needs work. Other than that, employees were amazing and friendly, lovely atmosphere and good music.

came in not expecting much but was extremely pleased with my grilled cheese brisket and fried pickles, very nice and agreeable service! would recommend 🔥

This place was great. The Mexican corn was different and not that good to me, but everything else we ordered was delicious. Service was on point, very friendly atmosphere and staff. I will return

The food came out quick and piping hot. They offer help on the menu and recommendations so we were satisfied with our stuff. Their wings are perfect and smoky with an assortment of sauces to choose from. Have the donuts for dessert! The service was great! Our server was Brittany and she was so sweet and helpful. We’ll be coming back again!

Loved the atmosphere and our server Eddie was so kind and helpful. He sure made us feel welcome and took great care of us. The food was very yummy and at a great value! Will definitely come again!

Kaitlyn our waitress did a great job. The only issue was my son and I’s jalapeño cheddar sausage came out cold, but she very quickly brought us a new sausage that was hot and fresh.

Eddie was the best server I’ve had in a long time. He was so nice, attentive and had the best energy. We brought our dad out for his birthday and he had a great time especially because of the overall service. Thank you so much Eddie! We definitely will be back!

Recently visited the Rockford Smoky Bones for the first time. The restaurant was clean; food and quality of service were impressive as well.

The server, Ashley, was friendly,  quite knowledgeable and attentive. Her recommendations also turned out to be excellent choices.

If she recommends something out of your comfort zone, just go with it. I'm sure it will work.

Ended up with the pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket plate with two sides. Everything was on point and in generous portions.

Smokey Bones is a midwestern place that can do brisket correctly; the smoke was apparent but not obnoxious, juicy, flavorful and nearly fell apart from the fork.

I also ordered a Smoked Old Fashioned. Their version was in the sweeter spectrum with a smoldering cover. It was well infused and balanced.

For dessert, try their chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream.

Smoky Bones and Ashley exceeded my expectations, sending me home with leftovers and a food coma. Highly recommend, will return.

This was our first time coming and Whitney was our server! We enjoyed every minute of it. She’s an excellent server!! Sweet, attentive, and a joy to speak with!!
