Placida Grill

Great restaurant. Food is always very tasty and staff is attentive and friendly. On most recent visit, had a 3 course meal special of grilled shrimp appetizer, steak, potatoes, and vegetables and key lime pie. It was fantastic and a great value. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Our experience was phenomenal from the moment we walked through the door, our server recommended A grapefruit martini which was wonderful and we had the Filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection, and the sides were delicious mashed potatoes and mixed seasonal vegetables. I highly recommend the Placida Grill.

Despite the owner being a Wisconsin transplant, there are some menu items that have a decidedly southern angle. Case in point, the shrimp and grits special with andouille sausage, in a very spicy creole sauce was so flavorful and buttery. I paired it with the Dragon’s Milk stout and it was perfect!

We have been there several times recently. My compliments to Chef and kitchen. We are so happy to find this gem of a restaurant. We have enjoyed many different daily specials in addition to a wonderful menu. Personally, the crab cake appetizer is one of my favorites. Also, the cornbread with jalapeño butter. So much more. Give this restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed! 😋

We went here on a whim and we are so glad that we did! From the beginning to just walking in and being accommodated immediately to the amazing drinks , food and service! Kama was absolutely incredible in her menu suggestions but her service and the service of her team was even superior! We will absolutely be back and highly recommend! Thank you Placida grill!!!

I've been here several times, both at their current and their old location years ago. The food is always very consistently good, and the menu changes occasionally with very good specials. Last night we had chicken scampi, salmon tostada stack, the killer shrimp, and the NY strip, as well as the fried green tomatoes and a BLT salad x2. Everything was so good, with amazing flavor. The fried green tomatoes weren't the best I've ever had, but the bacon jam was a new twist. Would definitely recommend the jalapeno butter cornbread as an appetizer as well!! The only caveat was that when the restaurant is very busy, it tends to get extremely noisy. Come during off-peak times for a quieter experience.

This is my GO TO neighborhood bar and restaurant when I feel like going out. The owner is almost always there working hard, the service is exceptional and you can tell that the staff like their jobs, the drinks are STRONG, so be careful if you're driving, and the food is consistently very good. Everyone talks to each other and the atmosphere is very welcoming.

Everything was delicious..I had the fried oysters, the best to date!..honey cornbread is a must try...sevive was excellent!

Our family stayed by Englewood for spring break and came across Placida! The restaurant is decorated very neatly, is clean and has a good atmosphere. Excellent service and very friendly management. Awesome food!! Will definitely come again if we’re near the area next time!

Recently opened at this new location. Our neighborhood has been Blessed by Scott and his wife for bringing a world class venue practically to our doorstep. We chose to sit in the 'bar' area, it is more like a fine bistro environment. We found it social and warm even though we knew nobody present. The service interactions were professionally polished, engaging and helpful without being intrusive- Lainy in particular was 'perfect' in her presentation and responses. The Menu as afore mentioned was World Class. Food flare that will entice your group to discuss the next visit to try something new just to get around to what you decide for tonight! One thing that deserves exceptional note... The tap systems' selections are by Scott and he has carefully made craft beers his customer offering. He has DRAGONS MILK on tap! This is a delicious 'dessert' nitro-brew and I have only found it on tap in Nevada prior to this. For myself this is proof of Scotts dedication to bringing perfected offerings to the table he has set for his patrons. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for one of the finest dining experiences to be had or if you just want to visit in the good company of friends you haven't met yet. I will have more to say in time. ENJOY!!!

Hi! Visiting from Seattle and my friend has just moved here. We are trying out the local fare and Placida grill was first stop. Fried green tomatoes were great as was the big beautiful burger. Also doing a margarita "study" and these were perfect. Nice live music to top it off

Food was excellent and service was really good. Kim is a really great waiter and the food quality was great and really professional. We and the triple tail and killer shrimp. Bread pudding was unbelievably good. Only thing I didn't like was the seating. We sat in a small uncomfortable booth. But otherwise, I definitely recommend this place.

Renovated inside .Very interesting menu, different options than what you usually have in the area. Looking forward to come back and try some other items. We had the sliders and the calamari, they were good and bread was hot and good.

Hidden little gem. Highly recommend. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous. They go above and beyond. Greatest bartender!!! Food is delicious!

We are on vacation from Michigan, and have been there 3-4 times now, food is really good, love the atmosphere and Jennifer the hostess is Awesome!! We'll be back next year!!

We enjoyed the fresh grouper and skirt steak! Both were delicious and the grouper was so fresh! Had to have the fried green tomatoes because they are the best! Last but not least, the bread served with dinner is so crispy and good! It’s hard not to eat it all, but try not to fill up too much because all the food is so good! Definitely going back!

Been going to the new place since it opened. We love everything and love Beth!!!!!!! We always sit at her station. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

The place has really come a log way way it had become in my opinion the best restaurant in Englewood Beth our server was unforgettable
