Can’t say enough good things about this company! Called just this afternoon when I got home from work - house was FREEZING - and Jay was here within a couple hours. Fixed the problem and got us up and running again, explained everything he did, and was so polite, friendly and professional. I loved finding out that we have such a great HVAC service professional right here in our neighborhood, because we like to use a local business whenever we can AND he’s a veteran, which is another HUGE plus in my book. Thank you, Jay!!!! You’ve got a customer for life.

Jay Thur came to my house twice for my ailing furnace, both times he didn't charge me anything. wouldn't even take 20 bucks. The reason being was "I didn't fix it". He gave me my options about repairing it vs installing a new unit. We finally agreed that a new one would be more economical in the long run. Two days later the furnace was installed. no messy footprints left behind or anything like that. When he was done, he even gave me a walk through.

Mr. Thir is a consummate professional and his metal duct work is a thing of beauty.
I would recommend him to anyone needing repair or installation of their heating and or cooling system. Jay Thir is THE BEST!

Jay came out to fix my older AC unit on a mobile home. He followed up from a call I placed over the weekend. He called me right at 8am, was here by 8:15 and done by 9am. He switched out the capacitor on my unit. He was very upfront about potential future costs or issues that could arise with my unit which I appreciated. He cleaned the unit as well and charged me a very fair price. I will definitely be using this company in the future for any other issues with my system that may arise.

Jay is the best!! Our heat went out late in the evening and we called first thing in the AM. Jay came right out that morning and fixed the issue! He is personable, professional and very reasonable! We highly recommend Thor Heating & Cooling!

Thir heating and cooling is exceptional .. Great service and experience.. Jay is very thorough and knowledgeable.. Hands down the best HVAC around !! Troubleshooted until he found the problem and then fixed it .. He didn’t even quit after that , he waited around to make sure it worked and then proceeded to clean up after himself.. After calling Gillece Services for seasonal cleaning and safety check at both my home and rental house and paid for services. I was told both homes need a new furnace and air conditioner units! 2 weeks later the blower motor stopped ! I called THIR and Jay fit me in that evening! I needed a special size motor and Jay spent 2 days finding the right fit and saving me high end cost.The surprising SHOCK was when Jay showed me how filthy both furnaces were and the dirty filters that had not been replaced. I highly recommend THIR for quality work and honest cost .

I have used Jay twice. Both time he was very responsible, kind, and knew his work. Very personable and tells you what was wrong and how he fixed it. Never felt I was being steered wrong in what he was doing to fix the problem. Prices are reasonable. He tries his hardest to fix everyone in on his schedule. Can't go wrong using him!!!!!

I can’t recommend or say enough about Jay and Thir Heating and cooling. I interviewed several different companies and Jay was thorough, professional, and explained everything to detail! Him and Butch were on time and had my furnace and A/C installed in less than day and a half!!! Price and quality of equipment excellent!

My experience with Thir Heating and Cooling was beyond my expectations, great experience from phone appointment to completion of appointment. Jay is very personable and knowledgeable and I greatly appreciated the education on my new buildings boiler system while he completed the maintenance. Jay was outstanding . Came just in time to replace my furnace in May while it was snowing and during our covid pandemic. So nice and warm now. Jay explained everything so well. The best HVAC company around! Our furnace broke down on a 10 degree Pittsburgh evening and within a half hour Jay Thir was here working to get our furnace back up and running. He was professional, friendly and got the job done right. We will never have to search around for a HVAC guy again because we know we can rely on Jay Thir.

Used Thir twice in the past 4 months. Once was for a middle of the night furnace issue, frigid temperatures and the furnace wasn’t kicking on. Called the office at 8am sharp. Received a direct call from Jay with-in 10 min and he arrived to our house within an hour. Jay spent time and went over every single component and piece of the furnace to be sure it was all operational and functional. He refused to give up until he was absolutely positive to know what it was and fix the issue. Turned out to be a bad thermostat. He replaced the thermostat and haven’t had an issue since. Fast forward to April. Our central A/C was not functioning properly. Called Jay and he came by ASAP to check out the situation. Unfortunately our entire system was shot. Jay explained our options to replace and we gave the green light. He took all his measurements and explained everything very thoroughly to us and provided a cost estimate. He called the next business day that he had some free time the following day if we were available for install. Jay and his crew showed up at 8AM sharp and were in and out by noon. He took the time to walk my wife (since I was at work)around and talk her through everything they did. Was very friendly to our pets and daughter. Followed up with me personally the next day to make sure I was satisfied with the job. I was blown away, the quality, tidy work and craftsmanship are unmatched. Jay was my lifesaver! For 6 months, my very young furnace would shut down for reasons I was told were unexplainable. I had called 3 different companies and had mutiple visits from one and still dealing with the issues. I stumbled upon this business by chance and am so grateful that I did...I just wish it was sooner! Jay was called in for his expertise and within just a short time he diagnosed the problem and we had a game plan under way. He is professional, reliable, prompt, very friendly (even my pup loved him...although he did bring him treats!) and very knowledgeable. Had made a service call on 11/18/20. Came home and my furnace wasnt operating. Called Thir Heating and Cooling. Unfortunately he was on another install, but said he would be here at 7am the following day. Fast forward- its 6:30 am and Jay is calling me telling me hes right down the road enroute to my location! This man is a godsend. Showed up at 6:40am and quickly diagnosed my issue. Went and got the replacement induction motor from the shop and had it installed within 15 mins. This man even went a step further and cleaned the necessary components to ensure we wouldnt need to make another service call. For anybody looking for an accredited HVAC technician, look no further than Thir Heating and Cooling.

Jay Thir has helped me with several issues from heating problems to building me a custom safety cover for my stove. Always professional, extremely knowledgeable , and arrives in a timely manner . Prompt, great service is rare and very much appreciated. Jay arrived when I was told he would. He identified the problem, found the part, and the furnace was back in business that evening. Jay the owner is the best. Also an Army vet, which makes me a lifetime customer. He knows this equipment new and old. My furnace would stay on and it’s 17 degrees today, 21Jan20. Called in the am and he was here around dinner. Could have easily said need a furnace, yours is old. Tested the CO2 at the vent, the heat exchange, and narrowed it down to a shot blower motor. I can’t say I’d ever call anybody else as this is my second experience with Thir and repair is always the first option if available.

AC was making noises and then stopped blowing out cold air. Called Thir Heating and Cooling at 4 pm and Jay was there by 5pm. By 6:30pm, my AC was blowing out cold air again and my house began to cool down. We've been using Jay for furnace and AC repair and maintenance for several years now. He's trustworthy, responds quickly when called and has fair prices.

Jay was so honest and helpful when checking out my AC unit! We recently just purchased our home and the AC was shot. Called another company first they said it could not be fixed and a new one would cost about $3,200. Called Thir for a second opinion and he was honest about the price being fair, but said he could probably fix it. A couple new parts and $280 later we have ourselves a working AC unit! Saved us a lot of money! Definitely a lifetime customer and will recommend to family and friends!

May 14th 2020 almost a year later when Jay fixed my AC and he’s back fixing something else on my unit lol. As always, the service was great and reasonably priced!
