Tres Gringos

My wife is a vegetarian and I'm a carnivore. She's tired of only having impossible burgers and salads when we out. NOT THE CASE HERE. She LOVED all the offerings and felt indulged with her veggie burrito. I loved my quesadilla. 5 stars.

By far the best restaurant in Nederland-proper, full stop. Consistently delicious food and consistently generous portions; the chimichangas and enchiladas are standout tracks, so to speak, but it’s all impressive. Great selection of continuously inventive artisan margaritas (that really pack a punch), and other cocktails. Wonderful owners & staff. I’ve lived up here for many years, & Tres Gringos is one of the only culinary establishments that really delivers the goods. No price gouging (despite inflation), no cutting corners. Worth every penny, and a jovial hub, to boot. 🍹 🌶 🥑

This hole in the wall place in Nederland has the best corn tortillas I’ve ever had. The carne molida taco is amazing. These tacos definitely have a little kick to them. If you’re in town for a few hours, you gotta check this place out.

Delicious vegan dishes. The portions were huge, especially the appetizers! We absolutely loved it!

Super clean (restrooms too), great food homemade corn tortillas, marg was great as was service.

The food is flavorful and delicious! The presentation was 5 star, we were not expecting that. Our server was spot on, very attentive, pleasant and helpful. If you have not tried this place, you are missing out.

Best margaritas around! Visited from Denver and the margs were better than any around the city. And found my new favorite salsas but can't decide which I liked more - mango or pineapple - so it's a tie. And then the nachos. Best I've had in a long time. And the service was top notch and friendly. Can't wait to go back again!

We went to this little gem on a cold rainy day and it was warm and fun inside, with delicious food that was worth every penny! Our server (Whitney) was AMAZING and had excellent suggestions on how to mix things up like dipping the nachos in their hatch green chili. Would definitely go again to try all the tacos on their menu!

We picked up tacos here - they were made in ten minutes! Very fast! I absolutely loved the spicy black bean tacos. We tried several others and they were all decent, too. I would absolutely come back here!

Had the mule Kick margarita. Quite strong and delicious. Normally I’d have ✌but one was suffice for this Amazonian. Really tasty food! Ceviche was fresh, barbacoa taco was on point, and loved the Gazpacho! Nice dish for a hot summer day. Will be back! 💖

The most amazing food! I had the best burrito! And the margaritas had a great kick as well! I have a lot of burritos, snd this one was my favorite. We also had the blackberry salsa; and that was very delightful!

Absolutely love this place. Here in the mountains our options are limited, but I would drive up from the big city to eat here. I eat at a lot of Mexican style restaurants and this is by far my favorite. Everything they do is a little unique.

Here's another sign of a great place these days - little or no staff turnover - same folks serving for years. I think that says a lot in a tough industry to staff.

We stopped in on a whim, we were not really planning on getting lunch, but are we ever glad that we did. Between the four of us we had tacos and a taco salad, which were fresh and tasteful. The homemade corn shells were a real treat. Do not miss this lunch menu while in Nederland!

Best enchiladas I've ever had! Everything (tortillas, enchilada sauce, pickled cabbage, etc) we're all clearly homemade and absolutely delicious. I know exactly where I'm going after any future Indian Peaks adventures.

Been a while since I’ve been through the area and pizza didn’t sound right and this sounded amazing. Well, omg it was great! The avocado dressing on the salad was a new taste sensation to me for a salad. Loved it. The chimichanga and enchiladas were outstanding. Even the kids quesadilla with chicken was something to talk about. Totally playing low key with that kids menu! Can’t wait to stop in again. Hope you last a long time there!!!!

We found this place while up at the Bizarre Cat Bizarre today and what a gem it is! We had excellent service and had the salsa flight, the daily special (fried pig belly tacos) and the loaded papas. We finished everything because it was absolutely delicious!

Pros: Great food, clean bathrooms, nice staff, outdoor seating, plenty of parking, options for kids.
Cons: Small with limited seating. On a busy day so prepare to wait, go during an off time, or call and save a table if you have a large party.
Recommend: the churro dessert.
9/10 would go again

Delicious fresh salsas with warm chips. Our barbacoa salad was delicious as it was beautiful. We will be back when we are in the area.

Superb post hike meal. We started with the nachos - highly recommend!
