Sears Hometown Store

The red haired woman that works at this store is an amazingly kind and helpful person. We thought they were open later and walked in when they were closed by accident. This sweet girl didn’t bat an eye and helped us anyway. We had bought an appliance on line from them which was a seamless experience. This wonderful girl helped us out and we were on our way in 5 minutes with our new wonderful kenmore appliance. Thank you so much for your outstanding service which you just don’t see anymore. We will never go anywhere else to buy an appliance ever again! If you want personal attention with a smile the way things used to be then look no further! Small town hospitality is alive and thriving here coupled with great products at great prices! Thanks again! So glad we found you!

Bailey Adams at the Ottawa Sears Hometown Store is fantastic. I had a GE Freezer on order through Sears.com for 16 months. I found out that the freezer was never going to be delivered and the order was gone from the system. Sears corporate did not contact me about my order and they did not refund my money either. Bailey assisted in getting me the phone numbers to Sears Corporate Customer Service, they stated they cancelled the order and I would get my refund and it never happened. I contacted Bailey and sent her an email from Sears.com that stated since the order was done at the store, I had to go through them. The order was not done through the store it was done online on 7/12/2020. I contacted Bailey, she went to her District Manager and she was able to get the credit for the freezer. It posted to my account on 11/22/2021. I wish all employees would go above and beyond like Bailey did. Thank you, Bailey. If we need an appliance etc in the future, we will definitely make sure that Bailey is our sales representative. Thank you so very much. Carol & Glenn Simmons

Bailey went above and beyond almost every single customer service attendant that I've ever dealt with before. It was a mere four hours from the time I briefly perused their website prior to calling to speak with her, applied for the credit card to finance my folks' new refrigerator, and had it delivered and installed. This was entirely unexpected, as previous expeditions to Home Depot for other appliance purchaces took half that long just to get it ordered, so it could take a week and a half to get shipped from LA. Some of this was sheer happenstance that the floor model met our criteria and the delivery drivers were available this afternoon; however even if we would've had to have gotten one sent up from Dallas, it still would've been delivered in less than a week. The fact that my folks and I are also from a small town made us appreciate her "folksiness".
Anywho... Just wanted post a review raving about our experience and laud Baily's incredibly outstanding customer service. I will definitely shop here first the next time I need an appliance as well as strongly suggest them to anyone that asks.

This is long over due. I had a choice to go up to either Sears in Atchison or Overland Park. I chose the Sears Hometown Store in Ottawa. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to get the items I wanted for a family member and myself. Staff encouraged me to wait for their call to pick up my items, as the emails can get ahead of actual delivery to the store. I will definitely use them again.

We buy anything we can from this store. Its on the other side of the street from where google maps shows but is well worth crossing the road. There is no softer side of sears at this location - appliances, tools, lawn & garden are about it. But the service is great, delivery is reasonable, and Sears still has great warranty service.

If corporate Sears would run their stores like this one they would not be having the problems they are. These guys will always be my first stop for any appliance - firm believer in buying local - the service pays off.

We needed a refrigerator quickly. The store had what we wanted in stock and delivered it within the hour after purchase. Delivery men were very efficient, courteous and hauled the old one away!! Thank you!

I called the sears hometown store today inquiring about a new dishwasher to find out I was dealing with Bailey and she seemed to know what she was talking about. I told her I would be in to see her. When I arrived at the store she met me at the door and showed me all about the dishwasher we had talked about on the phone. I purchased it and she even helped me load it in my van. I havent seen service like that for years. I have found a new store to purchase my appliances and much more. Thanks to Bailey and the Ottawa Sears Hometown store.

Sears in Ottawa helped my mother exchange a washer. Bailey was helpful, patient and knowledgeable. The installers were super also. We appreciate this store and the people who work there!

Went into the store to purchase a fridge. We were meet by laurie, I hope I spelled her name correctly, which helped us find a refrigerator for our home. She was really kind and smart about the fridge and the installing process. 10/10 on Sears for hiring her.

After thousands of loads of laundry, getting dropped on the first of two rough relocations, many years later, our Whirlpool washer quit. Replacing a major appliance can be, at minimum, a challenge. We searched the internet looking for an equivalent replacement. We called several brick and mortar stores. My wife spoke to the folks at our local Sears. Her conversation and their on hand stock prompted us to visit Sears. We found not only an equivalent but an upgrade at a great price. The salesman answered many questions and was very matter of fact about comparison of features, models, and manufacturer. Needless to say we went with a Whirlpool which was delivered without a hitch. All around a great experience that took the sting out of replacing a washer. Thank you Ottawa Kansas Hometown Sears.

Friendly staff, good selection of Craftsman tools. Very glad they are in Ottawa. It saves me a 2 hour round trip to the KC metro area.

This is a great place to buy appliances. It may cost you a few dollars more but the money stays in our community and they are always there for you to help in anyway they can. Shop local first

The sales person was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The dryer we purchased was delivered on time and this folks did a great job.
