Rudy's Country Store and BBQ

We did takeout here last Sunday evening for an early dinner. We ordered a half pound of Turkey, one pound of Brisket, one pound of Baby Back Ribs, and one link of Sausage. Our sides were one pint of Creamy Corn and one pint of Potato Salad. We also received sliced pickles, sliced onions, a loaf of bread and a container of barbecue sauce. All of the meats and sides were excellent. We will definitely return here again and would highly recommend you give this place a try. This restaurant does give a Military discount.

It disheartens me to see other reviews, which in my opinion, does not match the quality of food and the quality of service that I received today. Is the food a little more expensive than other places, not for the quality that you get. My girlfriends and I spend around $50 for lunch which include 3 types of meet, brisket is our favorite and the turkey was amazing soft and juicy and a jalapeño sausage link. We had three drinks and we both got a dessert.

The true rating should be around 4.5 - 4.7. Keep up the great working and keeping the quality standard high.

This place is not just a gas station, is also a full bbq pit, with a small ice cream parlor. It's pretty good. It's pretty good.

I had catering this past weekend from Rudy's for my wedding and I was so impressed. The time for delivery was 1:30pm and they were there even earlier and set everything up for us. The food was delicious and I had so many leftovers! I just want to say how happy I was with the timely service and delicious food we received! My dad was in charge of it and spoke with Mikayla (sorry if I'm spelling it wrong). I called the day before to change the contact person for them to call when they were on the way and they were very understanding. Overall amazing and I was so happy with how great everything tasted. I got some many compliments on the cream corn! Great service, professional delivery, and very prompt service.

Could smell the smokers before I drove up! The sliced brisket was delicious and the peach cobbler was unique and so yummy. There is outside seating and inside seating so you aren’t fighting the heat and boy was it hot at 107!

2nd time here and still happy with their food. Everything we ordered was good. They gave us a couple slices of brisket to taste and it was good too. It wasn't the best we've ever had but I'm really happy with our meal each time we've been here. The Jalepeno Sausage was outstanding. The snap of the skin was pure enjoyment each bite. Perfectly smoked! Turkey was juicy and the chop made for a nice sandwich with the slaw and pickles on it. Their BBQ sauce has a nice flavor as well. This is hands down a way better meal than that so called BBQ franchise that's on every block of this city.

This is why I love Rudy's Country Store and BBQ..they are genuinely happy to help out someone without expectations of patronage. This Rudy's, located at 15560 Interstate 35 North Selma, Schertz, TX 78154, allowed me to come in and charge my dead phone when most places will not let you do that. In fact, this location is the only one in past few years that has actually exemplified neighbors helping neighbors. Walk into any gas station, any retail store, any professional businesses, and you will find yourself being told that you can't charge your phone unless you are a paying customer. I approached a woman behind the counter, named Diana, and asked if I could charge my dead phone at one of the wall outlets outside and she insisted that I stay inside and use the wall outlet inside. That really made me have a deep respect for Diana and I asked her if I could discuss her/her name in my review cuz if you guys are ever in the Selma/Schertz area and looking for great BBQ turkey, brisket (with Sissy Sauce🥰😋),
with a side of coleslaw, beans, cream corn, and other veggies.
Don't forget to try their pudding! Chocolate, Banana and some others.

We've been a couple of times and I think it is excellent BarBQ. Showed up with our work group and everyone had what they wanted. Highly recommend.

Rudy's was amazing! The sauce is peppery and delicious. Our family had ribs, sausage, and brisket. All were wonderful, but the brisket was best. The potato salad was delightful and the service fast, fun, and friendly. But the highlight of the experience was the cream corn. It made my day.

I love the food here! The cream corn is to die for! The brisket and the sauges are as awesome too. I've been a few times, they usually very friendly and someone is usually at the front to greet you; however, this most recent I wasn't greeted and the lady that took my order seem like she didn't really want to be there. So I'm rating them a 4 in service because they need to check the moral of the employees so that they can give off a better attitude to costumers.

Great service. I was taken care of by Lauren and Sandra. They are awesome! They went above and beyond to give excellent service! I recommend the chopped meat, especially for newcomers and the creamed corn.

We had our anniversary ❤ dinner 🍽 with Rudy's County BBQ. This is the place where you can get awesome tasting BBQ. I ordered the brisket and potato 🥔 salad. Hubby had the pork ribs and their famous creamed corn 🌽. As always all the food had excellent flavor. You can choose to eat inside or outside.

First time here and everybody was welcoming. We mentioned we've never been here before so they explained the ordering process. Then they just kept giving us sample after sample lol the brisket wasn't the best but it was good, dry but good. I make jerky and usually leave it a little juicy. It weighs more so I fill up the 1 pound bags fairly quicker than I do when my jerky is dry. So if you make your brisket juicier you'll make more profit, it weighs more so you give less. Just an idea. Thank yall for the hospitality!

The best potato salad I have ever had. Ask for moist for the brisket and your taste buds with thank you. I could eat here every day. If only I were closer. Thank you Rudy's for making such deliciousness.

Great, unique experience for the whole family. Brisket is very good and the creamed corn is the best you'll find anywhere. Peach cobbler is also worth the trip.

Brought Lutheran South Academy from Houston for a track meet. Afterwards we stopped at Rudy's for lunch. The hospitality was awesome. Thay treated this group like the Champs that they are. The food is always great n this will always be our lunch stop for now on. Thanks Again for the Great Foods n Fun !!!
