Great market for Thai and Southeast Asian groceries. Reasonable prices though you do need to know what you're buying as some of the vegetables are unlabeled but have prices labeled.

This is a place where one can find ingredients that are not in a regular American grocery store. I had the opportunity to travel the Pacific Rim twice while in the military. I have a passion for the food, both cooking and eating. I shop this store for the little must haves in the pantry, and specialties for certain dishes. I often am the only American caucasian in the store, yet have no problem with people coming up a talking with me.
The staff is very helpful, always friendly.

Guys food is an art and Chinese cuisine takes food to another level. And yes they speak English, its family own and they own 3 farms that support this market! The prices on there produce is ridiculous low for there quality. I recommend getting away from the same old food you cook and challenge yourself to put something different and unique on the table. There is food in here you will not find anywhere else!

My family comes here all the time dating back to who knows how long. After all these years, they've never disappointed and managed to stay consistent for decades, surviving countless other local grocers that's come and gone. Looking at their track record, I think there's a reason why... It's been a long overdue review so here it is. Here are my top reasons why they get 5 stars:

- This place gets BUSY! When a place is busy, it tells me everything I need to know like the fact its going to stay fresh since perishables are cleared and restocked. If you want to avoid the crazy rush, then I suggest coming in on the weekdays before the lunch hour, otherwise it can get chaotic.

- They maintain and keep the PRODUCE FRESH. I don't ever recall having any issues with anything rotting on me. If you're looking for a bargain, you can always rely on the DAILY FRUIT SALES outside the front of the store. I've seen some crazy deals you wouldn't believe could happen but somehow they do it.

- They also have FRESH MEATS. Everytime I stop by I see their staff packing them daily which is very assuring. The turnover rate must be high which is probably why they can maintain its freshness. That's what you want to see in the meats section.

- Their store is FULLY STAFFED which is a good sign because you can always find someone to help you out. They may not speak perfect english or even Khmer but there is good intent behind it.

- I don't know how they do it but, their shelves are always FULLY STOCKED and I rarely find myself having to make an extra stop at a different store to pick something else up.

- They're LOCAL, CAMBODIAN OWNED, and FAMILY OPERATED. I also think it's second generation. I'm all for supporting local businesses.

- FREEBIES. Spend a certain amount and they'll throw in a freebie. How nice is it to come home and find an extra bottle of fish sauce :)

- It's CLEAN. If you go in early or before they close, they do a pretty good job cleaning the place up.

To summarize, Bangkok Market is as reliable and consistent as it gets. From the glorious days of the Clinton era, post 9/11, housing crisis recession, blizzards, to the pandemic, it doesn't matter. You can expect them to be there to open up shop. And seeing that they've transitioned to a second generation of business, I don't see this changing anytime soon.

In addition, when I go in there's so much life and energy. The owner knows everyone. If you're new to the area, introduce yourself and they'll welcome you to the neighborhood.

Bangkok Market is where it's at.

This is the best Khmer grocery store in Lowell. They're inexpensive, and very kind. I recommended my boss who is a crazy health nut and she LOVES it. She's been there almost every day since I told her.

Must visit for Asian fruits and vegetables. Many varieties of seasonal fruits and vegetables are available and avacados are always on sale. Best place for tropical fruits. Have a small section for bakery items which has delicious sweet treats from Asian bakeries. Prices are very reasonable and wholesale rates for bulk quantities. Persimmons, Cherimoya, Soursoup, Guava, Sapodilla, and many more fruits.

Good local Asian market. We go weekly for produce and other miscellaneous products. My wife and I spent a couple of years trying the different markets around Lowell, and this is the best all around, hands down.
