La Raza Supermarket

A hidden local gem of a place. I was a bit hesitant at first but boy my impression of the restaurant changed completely after tasting their food. The menu is huge and The food tasted amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful. The staff are polite and friendly but you might need to use translator on your phone. They also have a super market, where the produce was fresh. They have an awesome chili (peppers) collection. We got the Chimichanga (5/5) fried to perfection with a ton of flavor. The grilled chicken was very good as well but a tad bit dry (4/5). The tacos were the bomb, I got Barbacoa and Alpastor (5/5) both were amazing. The fried plantains were so delicious and I could see them taking a fresh plantain from the super market after we placed our order. The sauces were spicy, flavorful and complimented the dishes. The decor of the place might not be as modern but damn the flavors will surely impress you. I highly recommend this local place and I would go again.

I have lived in the area for 10 years and didn’t know this place was here. Very authentic and very good. Will be going back very soon.

So glad we decided to try this place out!!!!! Authentic Mexican food! I'm from Southern California so Mexican food was the best ! It's hard to find authentic Mexican out here in the Midwest! Definitely will be our new spot!

This place is awesome! First if all its directly behind that fancy painted water "tower" thats not really a tower because its on the ground.
Its a Mexican supermarket. Its good. The people are friendly and helpful.
It has an attached restaurant. It has the best food. Its cheap. The best $7.00 steak burrito you will ever carry out. I just ate one!

Stopped in to buy a few things at the attached grocery, when hubby offered to try the restaurant. WOW! WHAT A GREAT MOVE! This place is the best! Their fajitas were not swimming in oil, like most places. The salsa was the most delicious I've ever had! Hubby loved his chimichanga. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!

If you’re in the mood for tacos, or a traditional Mexican dish, you’ve found the spot. I’d highly recommend this place for their marinated meat dishes.

Excellent al pastor tacos. Will definitely be back. Price was very fair $2-3 a taco. The grocery store is also awesome, fresh produce, hard to find dried chilies, and fresh lard. 👌

Feels like home. They have all the cooking products I use at great prices. Wonderful customer service and the freshest meats and breads. The restaurant next door has the best Mexican food in town fresh and delicious!!!

I love La Raza. The best authentic Mexican food in Dayton (closely followed by La Michoacana.) Amazing taco's, fresh squeezed juice( pineapple, cantaloupe, orange and more.) The attached grocery store has a full selection of fresh meat priced better than anywhere in the area.

The supermarket has every chili you could need for your home cooked meals. Found many items I couldn't find other places. The restaurant side has THE best Hispanic food in the area! A MUST TRY

Every Friday for lunch we come here. It looks ratchet from the outside, so you know it's got good food.

They have a restaurant next door to the supermarket. The food is authentic and prices are great! You get more portions and taste better than those chain Mexican places like el toro or rancho grande. Forget those high prices and small portions. Come here to la raza and it will blow you away with their authentic traditional food! I took Zach’s mom here once and she loved it so much!

Small little store but a great selection of Latin food! The cashier was very helpful and spoke English!

FANTASTIC food!!! Don't be fooled by the building. These folks can whip up an amazing meal. It's Wednesday and we're already planning to go back on Saturday. That good.
