The Palms At Coco Beach

This cute hotel is right across the beach and for the price it was well worth it. The staff is very attentive and they had an artist come and show us his art of gyotaku. An ancient Asian art of taking real fish and making an art of the silhouette. He demonstrated it to us and raffles off the piece he did. Jimmy Downing Z . I was fortunate enough to buy one of his pieces. One of a kind. The hotel is having trivia night tonight and tomorrow they are offering Thanksgiving meal to those of us who are tourists and celebrate this holiday it was nice to have. They have everything decorated in Christmas since they have no thanksgiving to celebrate. Christmas comes early here in Central America. The pool was very warm and am so glad it has not rained on my parade! Lots of stores nearby to shop, shop, shop til you drop! Lots of places to eat as well. So much to do, see, and eat all in a very walkable distance to hotel and beach.

Great location in Coco, just a block from the beach! Service was exceptional: I had a free day of no plans and they recommended a great kayak tour guide. Only con is the rooms are close to the bar that had karaoke one night, which was kind of loud, but it ended around 10:00 pm, so it wasn’t a huge nuisance.

I went here from a last minute flyer for Karaoke Monday. DJ was amazing, crowd was fun. I got in 2 songs. Great talents of everyday folks in shorts.

We had issues on check in . We booked a balcony over the street. They had us in a back room. I didn't get the front desk girl name BUT she was awesome. Went above . She had us in the balcony room the next night. We came back from a walk and she put our bags up in the room. No elevator. We were so happy in that room #39. The next 5 nights were perfect. The ENTIRE STAFF were so nice and friendly. The bar and restaurant were awesome. The location perfect to town and beach.

Beware if you are above the courtyard as you will be in Bingo and Karoake and bar happenings late into the evening. The cleaning staff were superb. Great food and beverage for the prices. Highly recommend!

Our favourite restaurant in Coco by far.
We have tried so much on the menu and everything has been absolutely fantastic. The wings are so tasty and crispy, chicken and rice is delicious, the best chicken fingers I have ever tasted (real chicken breast and panko), my wife loves the fish, (Dorado) the Cobb salad is a great tasty meal with grilled chicken and avocado. Sushi is
extremely large and fresh and the tacos are fresh and tasty. Ken and Val are amazing hosts, and they have excellent entertainment such as trivia night Wednesday, live entertainment Saturday, and our favourite open mic on Thursday where there are some very talented musicians. Servers Johnathan and Corrine are attentive along with the others as well. The atmosphere is great with a pool waterfall and garden lighting for some ambiance. Make sure to give it a try if you are ever in coco. I highly recommend it!

Since the time we arrived to the hotel we were welcomed by the friendly staff. Luis at the front desk was very polite and extremely helpful. He helped us organized our days with his suggestions on things to do in town. That night we enjoyed a delicious dinner with fresh seafood and they had Karaoke night. We got to sign our favorite songs, we enjoyed the company of the owners who showed their hospitality to us. We highly recommend this hotel, great service, good price, location, fresh food, we honestly couldn't have asked for more. We are so glad we chose this hotel. We would definitely come back.

I absolutely loved my stay here. We rented two rooms and stayed two nights. Laura was fabulous and all staff was very friendly. The beach is across the street. Very safe and clean.

I can't say enough great things about the people. My partner was stung by a stingray on the third day of our week visit and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. We are also very thankful that the restaurant is very good as we couldn't get out and around for a few days.

The property was really nice and clean. The pool is kept well and there was lots of room around it with both sun and shade locations.

As for the rooms, if you are staying more than a couple days, may I recommend getting a larger room than the 'cozy' balcony? The bathroom was a little tight and there is not a lot of space to store your things. If you need a little more of the modern creature comforts in your hotel room, I would recommend you might want to look at another location.

I would definitely stay here again.

Eggs Benedict for breakfast at a very cool location, prices were really good.

Wonderful service provided by the staff working there. The restaurant serves DELICOUS food, and the servers were very kind. The pool was very nice too! Rooms were a bit small, but other than that, it was a great stay for the night. Considering you get free breakfast too, the price and location are fantastic.

Highly recommend! I got a budget room, but overall the experience didn't feel like a budget experience at all. Sure, the budget room is small and doesn't offer a balcony, but the hotel has such fantastic common areas that you really don't need to spend much time in the room! The bed was also super comfortable and no issues with hot water. The pool is wonderful and the grounds are beautifully kept. The restaurant and bar on site by the pool were delicious and convenient; included breakfast with the stay was also great. The staff were all super attentive and willing to help with anything you needed. Super short walk to Coco beach and town area with restaurants. Playa Hermosa and Ocotal are also easily accessible by quick taxi ride. Overall loved our stay at the Palms!

We didn't stay at The Palms. We had dinner, drinks, and played several games of pool on various nights. Bingo would have been perfect.

This was our second stay and it just keeps getting better. There is a great vibe with every one there , the saying above and beyond certainly applies to the staff at the Palms. Randal was the most observant and helpful manager i have ever met in all my travels.. A complete place to stay, Front desk rocked the servers spot on and food was crazy good.

Luis and the gang are super-friendly! We would definitely stay here again! The have a full bar, restaurant, swimming pool, pool table, and a liqour Bodega is also attached to the hotel. The food is very good. The rooms and rest of the property are very clean. We saw no illegal activity and felt very safe. Our rental car was parked out front, unmolested. Just a couple hundred feet from the beach.

We loved it. Good size, clean room, bathroom is nice size and all in working condition. Close to the beach, promenade, restaurants, farmacies, shops, etc. Pool and restaurants as well as store on location. Internet and breakfast was complimentary.

The Palms was a great experience. This was our first time going to Costa Rica and it was a blast. Alonzo was awesome with the food and drinks. The night entertainment was immaculate with great entertainment. The staff at The Palms was very good with room service and making sure we enjoyed our time there. I will definitely give them 5 stars and I hope you make your next stay at The Palms.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! So lively but also private. It has a great pool and lots of activities everyday like live music and bingo. They even have a pool table and corn hole that guests can use. The food at the restaurant is also great! Highly recommend this place for everyone from couples to families!

The experience was outstanding, the views were absolutely wonderful. The property was well cleaned and looked beautiful. Food was FANTASTIC. Very close to the beach and downtown but still out of the way. It was truly the people that made the experience the best. I am already planning my trip back to this same hotel!!!
