We did the Catalina tour and are very satisfied. Hector and Domingo were amazing and very attentive to everything. Great tour, very fun snorkeling and kayaking.

Lot’s of fun. Did a Catalina excursion w them. Totally worth the money. Snorkeling was fun, and music on the ship was good too.

Excelente servicio.

We went on the whale watching and water fall excursion. The tour was very interesting. We enjoyed it. Many people did work hard to pull it off. The down side was the constant begging for tips. The tour guide told us what was considered a good tip for the people helping with the horses. When we tipped that amount the individual stopped and looked at us like they wanted more. The lunch people wanted a tip. When we left the catamaran they took a jug around for tips. As we left the bus the driver was tapping his basket so you would be sure and put in a good sized tip. The guide also wanted a tip. The tour was expensive enough that tips should have been optional or at least shared among all the people working. The harassment for tips was a big downside to the tour for us!

I give a 1 STAR REVIEW TO THE COMPANY.
The tour was a great experience beautiful views of the islands and the locals. However I noticed people complaining about the locals and them asking for tips for services and then selling things! After speaking with the people who VOLUNTEER to help us on these excursions that we paid for. They work for tips ! They don’t get paid by Go Excursions. They are there to help because some of them depend on those tips!! They are exploited for our satisfaction and that’s not cool! The horses we rode were tired and not well taken care of. We are taken to a “natural” pool the water is contaminated we were told by the locals that it wasn’t a good idea to swim or wade in the water.

So if you go on their excursions please bring cash for the locals as they aren’t getting paid for the help they provide, shop with them they have beautiful things. They hand make and put a lot of energy into all of the Jewlry and items, paintings and art work. But don’t swim in that natural pool!!

We made a reservation in person with an agent at RIU Republica in DR for an excursion. We explained what we wanted and needed and were very specific. Out agent made a call on speaker phone and verified the excursion would be what we wanted and needed. The excursion was to Catalina island. Everything on this excursion was nowhere near what they said it would be !! Took our money with the promise that it would be all that we wanted and asked for. We were supposed to be on a boat that had a full size drop down staircase . Instead the boat had a vertical ladder with round rungs! Super difficult to get in and out of boat. We were supposed to be taken to a calm snorkeling spot but instead were taken to a spot with strong currents. No reef in sight! Snorkeling was the main idea to this excursion.. was totally impossible. Then we had to get off catamaran to a small boat to go to the island. Another impossible feat. Crappy small boat smacking against the catamaran. Difficult and dangerous. Get to the beach which was also supposed to be the perfect calm beach to snorkel. Nope! Food on island?? Wait for over an hour and half for sub par food.. bathrooms there were dirty and not even a toilet seat.. time to go back to the catamaran. Same ridiculous and un organized process. Had to climb in via a ladder that they hung off side of small boat . My husband got hurt trying to get in the boat on this ladder. This why we were so specific particularly about " no ladders" we cant use a ladder. This ladder was an accident waiting to happen if you placed hands in wrong place. My husband had a very hard time climbing in. Hurt and scraped his knee..Finally back on the catamaran with the loudest music ever. Ear piercing. !Did I mention that the catamaran was so full that people had to stand? We couldn't even sit together ..finally back on shore to get on the same bus that had no AC, many broken seats and breathe diesel fumes for 1hr and 45 minutes each way. This is bus they said they would fix or replace while we were on the excursion.. that never happened ... Terrible experience right from the beginning to the very end!!! They deserve NO STARS !!!!!!!!

I wanted to go snorkeling in the Caribbean. Sounds fairly simple considering we're staying at a resort in The Dominican Republic. When I spoke to the man at the tour desk of "Destination Services" we were extremely specific about our desires in a snorkeling trip. Most important was the water was calm and there was a reef to snorkel on / over. Also extremely important was I am not physically able to traverse a ladder of any kind. Snorkeling boats have full size drop down staircases that drop down into the water, getting on and off the boat is easy if the boat is equipped with one of these. My asks were so specific and carefully worded that the man at the "Destination Services" desk actually called "Go Excursions" and put them on speakerphone asked them each question / concern that I asked for. Each and every question was answered "yes", "absolutely", "of course".. Friday morning we go to the meet spot. The bus was late. Mechanical troubles. The troubles were with the AC, it wasnt working. The driver "thought" he fixed it. A half hour into the trip, it was quite apparent that he didn't fix the ac, it wasn't working. After all on the bus wasn't feeling well due to the no ac and the diesel exhaust fumes permeating the interior of the bus, he pulled over and tried to fix the ac again. It worked for 2 minutes a little, then stopped working altogether again. You wouldn't believe the relief just to get off the bus when we go to the boat. Get on the boat on a gang plank. No problem. A long ride and we get to the destination off a beach. Rough water, this is absolutely not a snorkeling spot. I tried. Getting off the boat to snorkel on the steel round rung ladder was almost impossible, but through some pain, I did it. Very rough water, no reef, poor visibility. There's just no way this is where we're to snorkel, but it is. I saw a group of young, strong, capable people make their way somewhere about 75 to 100 meters from the boat, i don't know if that was a better spot to snorkel, I do know I would have drowned trying to get there, that's how rough the water was. Through much more difficulty I managed to get back on the boat on the metal round rung ladder that I was expressly told wasn't on this boat. Now a boat to boat transfer to get to the beach. This you must time with the boats sever movements in the rough water, I did it without a problem. I certainly wouldn't be doing this if I were "Go Excursions" as it was a great risk for someone getting hurt. Get off the dingy on the shore, how, the dingy beached bow in, the bow is high, two men tilted the entire dingy over as much as there weight would and I rolled off and out into the surf / sand. The beach, rough, its the same spot where the big boat is, same rough, no visibility, no reef. No snorkeling. Spend some time on the beach. Now, I am truly concerned, how in the world are they going to get me back into the dingy to get back to the bigger boat to go home. On a steel round rung ladder hung off the side of the dingy. Now this isn't funny. I'm on vacation, I really don't want to get hurt. Getting up this ladder and into the dingy was far past difficult, extremely painful, I'm not overstating this, I was bleeding from my knee by the time I rolled off the top of the ladder into the boat. There'd be no way to come anywhere near justifying this if it weren't for the speakerphone phone call to verify none of this was how this excursion was. Taking that phone call into account "Go Excursions" 100% deserves legal action taken against them. In my humble opinion They go to this extreme saying anything necessary to take peoples money because most folks won't ever come back and we all know legal action is just too expensive to be worth it. And here we are, leaving a review on Google. How much crap like this will we have to go through before we remember to read the google reviews and heed them BEFORE giving money to a crooked establishment like this.. I'm going to see if I can find another site to post this review on. Protect yourself..

Very bad experience. Every 5 seconds someone is begging you for tips and extra money when the tours are already overpriced! We were told we were gonna leave at 9:00 am and get back at 4:30, we got back at almost 5:30!!! Service overall was very bad, everyone was trying to sell us photos or alcohol or anything really instead of taking care of us and making sure we are happy. We sat in a bus getting ready to leave for 30 minutes because the tour guide wanted to sell everyone some type of Dominican beverage. Please don’t choose this tour company! Disgusting!!!

Tours way over priced. Can book them yourself for about half the price. Also the Semana tour took about 12 hours. 8-9 hours were spent on a bus or ferry.
