Catalonia Bavaro Beach, Golf & Casino Resort

During my recent stay at the resort, Hector was a standout staff member who significantly enhanced my experience. His presence alone exuded an aura of positivity and good vibes that was both refreshing and uplifting. Hector's approach to hospitality is noteworthy; he combines professionalism with a genuine warmth and friendliness that makes guests feel exceptionally welcomed and valued.

His attentive and personable service ensured that every aspect of my stay was seamless and enjoyable. Whether it was his timely assistance, thoughtful recommendations, or just his daily cheerful greetings, Hector went above and beyond to make sure my time at the resort was nothing short of perfect.

As a Gold privilege club member, my experience at this resort was nothing short of excellent. The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food was outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options that exceeded my expectations. Overall, this resort truly exceeded all my expectations and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable vacation experience.

This post is an edit from a negative review I had left on the first night of my 7 night stay.. it was my first time in the Dominican Republic and the first impression was less then desired right from the get go!.. after addressing my concerns at the bottom level of the staff chain and getting nowhere.. I had left a review in hopes of getting a response and that is exactly what I received.. I was contacted by the most wonderful guest services staff member who asked to meet me in person exactly a day after I had written my review which I was very surprised to say the least! Her name is Kelly! And I CANNOT say enough good things about her! She deserves a raise no questions asked! From the moment I sat down to meet her and explain my situation she was 100% attentive and engaging! She not only personally sourced a new room for me but she went herself to check the room was going to be to my liking and then she also met me there after to make sure it was what I wanted! She then threw in a few extras for the inconvenience and also had champagne and treats delivered to my new room as a courtesy! Now given my situation was more then likely a one in a million occurrence given the immaculate state of the rest of the resort she still made it her mission to right a wrong and I am extremely grateful to Kelly and the front desk manager whom I also dealt with! These two women showed me a level of customer service that should be a standard across the board! So again thank you! This resort is actually top notch and very BEAUTIFUL, I would most definitely come back!

This resort really outdid itself. Service was exceptional, food was amazing, beds were comfortable, beaches are mesmerizing. Catalonia was perfect. Took an excursion through a third party from the beach, 100% worth it. The excursion at the resort was too pricey. Local guys took us around the country, to a local market, we rode jigged dune buggies through the country side and had mama Juana shots and hot cocao and coffee.. check out was a breeze. Be sure if you go, tip a couple dollars to servers, drivers, anyone that helps you out and they’ll treat you like royalty.

I recently stayed at the Cantalonia and I would like to commend Rossy at Guest services for the amazing work. Rossy went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. The service she provided is what makes you feel like you’re taken care of on vacation. Other than that the upgrade to Privileged rooms is worth while. Our bathroom had a bidet and the showers were large. We heard from other guests in the regular older rooms that their bodies would touch the walls of the shower for how small it was. Service was great here we got everything we asked for and the workers take care of their guests.

The staff is amazing! Reception team was so welcoming Gisele was such a great resource! Resort is very clean, food is good and there are many options. Beach is absolutely beautiful!! Make sure to book your dinners with the restaurant when you arrive.

We had a great time at this resort. The resort is beautiful, and everything is kept very clean and neat. They had lots of fun activities to do during the day and great shows at night. Emmanuel and King Kong were amazing at their job! The drinks were great, the bartenders kept us hydrated. Special shout out to Jhonny Depp, Felix and Carlos for their top notch service. Would recommend!

Catalonia wedding planning was above and beyond the expectations my wife and I had. Yohanny is an exceptional planner and more importantly a loving human. Every detail for our wedding was ironed out way in advance and when the wedding came Yohanny and her team exceeded our expectations. The decorations, the ambiance , the drinks, the food and most importantly the vibe made our wedding the best celebration my friends and family have ever had. I felt as if the entire resort staff was there that weekend to accommodate my friends and family. We write this review with big smiles on our faces. It couldn’t have been better. Thank you Yohanny and thank you to this amazing Resort.

Had a very lovely time here. Such a beautiful resort with extremely wonderful people working hard to make the week enjoyable. Special shout outs to Renaldo at the pool bar, Richardson at the front desk, and there was one more who was always at the Beach buffet at breakfast who was extremely lovely, but I forget his name.

Would love to return!

Loved everything about this resort, especially the wonderful people who work there that truly made it an unforgettable experience, my boyfriends and I favorite was Hector :) Whenever we will think about Punta Cana we will always think of him, thank you so much Hector and the wonderful staff at Catalonia Bavaro, you are the best!! We will definitely be back. The beach and pool were wonderful and such a beautiful atmosphere, palm trees everywhere and the water crystal clear!

On vacation for my best friends birthday. Loved all the excursions we did. Everything went smoothly as far as pick up and drop off. The beach is beautiful and the co workers are very nice. Especially Roselyn, she made our Saturday night a great one. Muy amable, gracias!

Absolutely amazing resort, with such kind and genuine people! The resort is beautiful, but the souls of the people here, are truly genuine and special. We had the pleasure of getting really close to one of the staff here, his name was Hector. Everytime we think of Punta Cana, we will think of hector. Absolutely amazing stay! No complaints only praises! We will be coming back again. :) thank you Catalonia, thank you Hector!

Franceli is a very very beautiful and lovely girl, most helpful and made our trip very enjoyable. Felix was always very polite and helpful. Juan any time he is always smiling, he helped us to coordinate stuff . Very accommodating. Our favourite bartender is Maria in the pure bar. Luis the driver of the van to take us to the golf and Danny at the golf course was very great and helpful too. All the staff were very polite and friendly.

Ruth was fantastic. She made our trip amazing! We were struggling to get acclimate with the resort and she helped us with everything from towels to dinner reservations. We will be back!

Excellent activities by the happiness providers. The pool bartenders too notch especially Reynaldo great time. Food was excellent at 3 of the 4 restaurants. The entertainment guys here and mangasa 5 stars real funny and motivated.
