Venga Atitlan Outdoor Adventures

I had the pleasure of staying for 5 nights at Venga in the treehouse with Lake views. One of the best rooms in San Marcos! The WIFI was strong and the vibes were inviting. Felt at home here.

I also took out a paddleboard on the Lake. Highly recommend!

I can’t wait to return to Venga and stay in the treehouse again. I was a little wary of sharing a bathroom, but it was just fine. The bathroom is right down the stairs and is only shared with one other room. I never had to wait for it and even in the pouring down rain I barely got wet. The hosts are lovely people to share the outdoor space and kitchen with and doing yoga on the platform with the lake as the altar was transformative. I didn’t take advantage of the paddle boards but I will next time. You can’t find a better deal for a lakeshore stay.

I had a really lovely stay here the rooms and facilities are very well maintained with the cleaning ladies coming what seemed to be every day or close to it. As someone who is trying to improve there climbing having a climbing gym within the accommodation was awesome and they gave me tips and advice to improving my climbing which i really appreciated.

I have LOVED staying here, it’s the perfect combo of rustic and comfort. There’s hot water, good wifi, and comfortable living spaces in the rooms. The energy is peaceful & beautiful. And the way they designed the space is perfect. I use the yoga Shala daily with the lake view, it’s magical ✨ I can’t wait to come back.

Stayed 2 nights at the Venga treehouse - couldn't recommend it more highly! Views from both the bed & sofa were incredible especially for sunrise. It had everything needed for cooking, communal facilities were clean & staff helpful.

Loved renting the paddle boards for sunrise - Amanda was professional and very responsive. The boards were in great condition. Would highly recommend!

Perfect place to rent SUP boards and take a morning on the lake.
They also have a bouldering gym which is amazing.
Weekly yoga classes and other activities.

I could not recommend rock climbing here more if you have half a day. My friend and I had a great experience and learned a lot from Jonas and Simon. Great spot with about 6-8 different climbs at various difficulties.

Stayed in the guesthouse for 2 weeks and I loved it. It’s like a small home vibe. 4 rooms which are big and very comfy, shared kitchen with EVERYTHING you need and a nice shower, fire place, the like is so close by and there is the yoga studio. Owners are so nice.

Venga Atitlan is a very well-organised tour operator, run by an Aussie and a German owner. They made our day! I highly recommend SUP at Lake Atitlan in the morning with them!

The morning paddle was one of my highlights while visiting Lake Atitlan! We met early and were out on the water so we could see the beautiful morning sunrise. It was very peaceful and our guide was fantastic. We even got to paddle to a little lakefront restaurant and get a morning coffee. I felt very safe the whole time and really enjoyed myself. I'll definitely be telling my friends about Venga. Thanks! :)

I was blown away on my morning SUP paddle with Venga! Not only is this the most beautiful way to soak in the beauty of lake Atitlan, but our guide was amazing! Everything was organized for us and she even brought a dry sack so we could keep our shoes and sweaters dry. I was over the moon excited that she also had her camera and offered to take some great shots of my husband and I as the sun rose over the mountain (I left my phone on land for fear of it getting wet).

It was such a magical morning. To be on the water in meditation as the sun came up over the volcanos. Serious value for the money here as the trip lasted over 3 hours and included a relaxing stop for some coffee and hot chocolate at a nearby lodge.

Highly recommend spending at least one of your mornings in San Marcos doing this!

I had 2 yoga classes with Ella here and cannot recommend her and this place more. She’s one of the best teachers I’ve had combining pranayama, ashtanga, vinyasa to create this perfect class. She’s super hands on and helps students loads. I learned more with her in a week than in the last 6 months of yoga. Highly recommend this place!

Really nice guest house with everything you need! Clean, calm and close to the lake. They also have a great yoga platform with regular classes.

Lieu magnifique, convivial, très proche de la plage. La vie en communauté mais dans le respect de chacun. Sauna, escalade, padel en supplément abordable et yoga avec superbe vue sur le lac. On reviendra !

Es ist wirklich ein einmalig schöner Ort, um in Ruhe zu entspannen und viele Sportmöglichkeiten zu nutzen: Yoga, SUP, Bouldern oder einfach in den See springen. Eigentlich brauch man nicht mehr :) Mein Zimmer mit Blick (auch vom Bett) auf den See und die Vulkane war ein Traum. Alles aus Holz mit Liebe zum Detail. Vom Daybed auf dem Balkon wollte ich nicht mehr aufstehen. Bad und Küche sind super ausgestattet und werden jeden Tag gereinigt. Jonas und Michelle haben eine Begegnungsstätte geschaffen und mit ihrer tollen Art und interessanten Gesprächen jeden Tag bereichert. Ihre beiden Jungs und die zwei Hunde sind auch einfach zauberhaft. Es ist mir sehr schwer gefallen, das Venga Guesthouse zu verlassen! Vielen Dank für einmalige Zeit bei euch!
