Very Kind Family Owned Super Economic Hostel w/ Great Views, Food, Massages, WiFi, Hammocs, Hot Water, Staff. I was going to stay in San Marcos 2 nights but because of how comfortable Elias made me feel (and the great discount/deal for staying longer), I ended up very happily relaxing here for a week.

Si te gusta la aventura, tienes poco presupuesto, estás dispuesto a recibir lo mínimo este es un buen lugar en San Marcos la Laguna.
Un hostal sin sistema formal de recepción, cocina con lo mínimo para cocinar, lavaderos de ropa, habitaciones básicas y baños tradicionales. Eso sí, la gente muy amable, una vista del lago espectacular y tranquilidad.

Lugar muy básico, una cama y nada mas con baño compartido. Te prestan una cocina para que prepares tu comida (puedes llevar tu comida) y es muy básica también. La vista al lago muy bonita y el lugar muy calmado. Entiendo que están construyendo un comedor típico.

La vue sur le lac est à couper le souffle, près de San Marcos et les fils du proprio don't supers sympas. Amazing vue of the lake, near San Marcos and sons of the owner super cool. 60Q a night - privado.

I hate to give a bad review since the family seems very nice and the view is beautiful but the bedding was very dirty and there were bed bugs in it. When I lifted the pillow there were tons of nymphs underneath it, plain to see. I asked for a clean sheet so I could try to sleep outside on the hammock for the night and was given a sheet that smelled strongly of dust. Not a good place to rest.

This is a very unsafe place to stay and Teresa the local women who rents out the rooms is very unhelpful, rude and will rip you off. So the unsafe part, I was staying somewhere else for night and my partner was attacked at 2am in the morning by a drunk local, he tried to break into our room. Teresa was not supportive in the matter and continues to leave the gate unlocked at night.

Very dissapointing. I arrived at dark, had to wait for the manager for 30 minutes (who didn't even arrive). Then they told me that my room was canceled and I could not stay there, even though I had a reservation for four nights. I have not yet been able to get in touch with the manager to find out why and had to find another place to stay very last minute. This cost me a lot of money and stress.
