We went here for the Mayan Fire Ceremony. The ceremonies are held every Monday and Friday for Q200. The ceremony was amazing! We explored Mayan nawals and cacao on both the physical and spiritual levels. Definitely go here if you're in San Marcos.

The moment I walked into Lava Love, my heart, mind, and spirit immediately sang, "YES!" Lava Love is so much more than a cacao shop; it is truly an initiative rooted in love, respect, and tradition that yearns to spread both the healing magic of Mama Cacao as well as Mayan cosmology. We visited first for a cup of cacao, which was served with so much evident intention and care. The tahini addition made for a memorable, delicious drink. We returned a few days later for the Mayan Fire ceremony where we were blessed not only with cacao, but also a mini reading of our nahuals. My favorite cafe in San Marcos, the staff are so friendly, not to worry if you only speak basic Spanish as their English will get you by. The whole experience of being served, with the jar of flowers, candle, all the things, made it a wholesome occasion every time I visited. Thank you for having me!

What an amazing experience I had with Izaias for a Mayan Calendar Reading! I greatly appreciated his big heart, energy and the divine messages. I got my nawal reading at Lavalove Cacao and it was amazing and affirmative. Izaias was very descriptive, comprehensive, and easy to understand. He explained what the Mayan calendar is about, what the Nawal is and the importance of it all, then goes into detail about your unique Nawal and the significance on how it relates to you (past, present, and future). He lets you record the whole thing so you can listen to it later as well. The two hour ceremony will leave you feeling refreshed and you get to indulge in cacao throughout.
