Allala - Restaurante Japonés

Insanely nice people, running a quaint little Japanese spot. Gyzos and miso soup both excellent. Got a coffee, also good. They even gave me dessert, which they said was included, but I had no idea. It's on a side alley, down hippie highway.

Excellent restaurant with a great menu, delicious food and amazing hospitality! Authentic Japanese food including sushi available in the menu. And the place is run by a sweet Japanese lady.

Great quantity and excellent prices as well. Highly recommended if you’re anywhere around lake Atitlan.

Most probably the best curry I had in my life. Super tasty, great portion. Free dessert and lovely staff. If you stay in San Marco for a bit you really should try once.

Amazing small restaurant, very hidden away and hard to find. But the food is definitely worth it, very tasty and real Japanese. Great price-quality. We even got free desert. Would totally recommend!

Cute, cozy place tucked away just behind the Main Street. Delicious food, I got the miso soup, veggie tempura, and mixed (chicken + shrimp) fried rice. Good service and they served free dessert at the end.

The food did take a while but so worth it. Menu is reasonably priced for portion sizes. Everything was very tasty. No complaints

This is such a nice restaurant, tucked away from the busy “hippy highway”. I had the miso soup and vegetarian fried rice and loved it. Friendly servers/staff too, which can really make a difference with the overall experience. :)

I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you’re looking for something different and more quiet than other places in San Marcos.

This was our favorite place that we eat in San Marcos. We were looking for something good and Google really was becoming a hit and a miss with its suggestions. The food was fresh and tasty. We had the soup. tempura plate, and a few entrees. I believe the owner is Japanese but has lived in San Marcos for a while. The free dessert was a nice.

Chanced into this lovely restaurant while getting lost in San Marcos. A Japanese lady who individually cooks all the orders, and one who speaks perfect Spanish

Amazing Japanese establishment tucked away in many small corridors. Once you reach the soccer field, look for the cement walk path to your left and follow it down until you see some stairs on the left. Follow them up and Allala will be on the right.
