Gunnuhver West Parking

Less crowded than the east parking and very close to the vents. Plus you can see the lighthouse on your drive up. Best of all, free!

This is the nearer parking to the Gunnuhver Viewing Platform, less crowded in comparison to the east side parking. Road condition is is good although not fully paved, can accommodate about 10 cars, nearer to Reykjanes Lighthouse and Valahnúkamöl Cliff, no facility though.

Now April 2022 is free.

Don't get scared by the signal saying to pay, because that is the signal to the lighthouse

Be careful with the wind when parking!

Una visita breve si tienes tiempo para ver una zona de agua en continua evaporación por las altas temperaturas que hay bajo tierra.

Si queréis posteriormente visitar la zona del faro y acantilados mejor aparcar aquí para visitar las fumarolas porque si aparcáis en el otro se da más rodeo. Es gratuito.
