There is a generous parking area. Easy to navigate steps up to an observation deck with gorgeous views. Beautiful landscape, when I went, the pool was choppy and hard to see because of the rough surf but it was still my favorite place we visited that day.

We had loads of fun here, waited to waves to come in to make a splash on the rocks. Might need to be careful on a wavy day as a strong wave would really made you wet even if you’re standing on the platform. Also a great place to watch the sunset as it’s quite west of the country and you can see the horizon very clearly if it’s not cloudy.

I highly recommend checking this area out. It is absolutely beautiful! Watching the waves crash ashore is soo calming. I would recommend wearing closed toe shoes or hiking shoes. There’s sand getting to the area and it appears the area must’ve flooded because there’s tons of kelp and seaweed on the trail.

This was a chance find. We were driving past and could see some spray which we thought might be a vent. Instead it was the gale force wind blowing the wanes onto the rocks.

Nice viewing platform which thankfully had safety railings as we did not notice the rogue wave whose spray engulfed my wife!! So take care!!

Would live to see this area in calmer sunnier times.

This spot was well worth it, and if we had the time could have stood for hours watching the waves crashing into the shore and rugged coastline. The lava pool was very cool to see, and the splash of the waves were very memorable.

One of the natural wonders in Iceland. On a windy day the sea outside of the pool looks like it's boiling. The view from the well-maintained platform above was amazing. Well worth stopping by with easy access.

If you want to get close to coast, come here. The waves were pretty strong, certain death of you tried to swim there.
Even behind the railing, you can get wet from splash of a wave.

Brimketill, located on Iceland's Reykjanes peninsula, is a natural lava rock pool shaped by the relentless beating of the Atlantic waves, offering a serene yet dramatic view that you shouldn't miss. Despite its folkloric nickname 'Pool of the Giantess,' swimming is strongly discouraged due to rough seas and sharp rocks. Ensure to pack warm clothes and a good camera, as the harsh beauty of this coastal spot makes it a perfect backdrop for memorable photos.

Two beautiful pools, but best seen when the waves are small. I've been here a couple of times, and when the waves are large it is very hard to see/appreciate the pools. But when the sun it out, the wind is down and the waves are small, it is a stunning location.

Amazing view of the sea to observe waves crashing up the lava pools. Places to stop on the way to explore too, so well worth a drive out.
Parking spots there and no ticket needed.

Went on a windy day in October. The waves were huge and mesmerizing but you could still see the pools. We spent about a half hour here.

Well worth a visit. Waves here can be huge and there is a good chance you could get a bit wet on the gantry viewing platform.

Iceland is about natural and this is one of those little things that might make you smile. This is a natural pool formed into a lava crater

A really cool spot, good views and interesting geology. The rock you stand on is only 800 years old! There is a viewing platform to see some of the pools from, or you can climb amongst the rocks themselves - at your own risk!

This is a super awesome stop! The waves splash really high and oddly give such joy! Absolutely gorgeous view, and a good spot if you want to watch the sunset. I went in January
