We stayed at this campground for one night. We arrived pretty late and so we had to pay in the morning.

As campground go, this one was packed! We doing a decent spot after driving around the site for a few min.

Decent bathrooms and common area.
I found that there was toilet paper with a rock on it in a couple sites which made us move on to a different space.

Is a decent place as a last or first day campground.

It's a great campsite, we stayed one night before our flight back home. Has a big kitchen 2 cookers and plenty space to seat. The main kitchen is really warm inside, wear shoes inside the main kitchen it's not allowed but it's not a problem because the floor is warm too. Toilets and showers clean, highly recommended. It was 2200 kr pp no electricity. Good price good value.

The campsite itself was somewhat crowded, but impressively well-organized. Be prepared to camp in very close proximity to other people, which might mean limited privacy. However, the facilities were top-notch, including impeccably clean toilets, showers, and a spacious dining room equipped with a well-maintained kitchen. It's worth noting that you're required to remove your shoes when entering the dining room.

We had a very good time at the campsite. The common place and kitchen is very well equipped. Many travellers leave lots of food and gas cans as it is the last stop before leaving Iceland for many of us. Showers and toilets are clean. There is always (or almost always) some friendly staff taking care of everything and keeping things clean.
Would definitely recommend it and even more as the first stop. You can get lots of free food.

The only campsite that had offices open late and early, so you could pay and ask any questions even if arriving after dark.

Plenty of parking space, a nice indoor kitchen area (with leftover spices and food items from previous campers) and the showers were the nicest ones during our week in Iceland! Also 10 minutes to Blue Lagoon from here which you can’t beat if you’re ending your trip there like we did 😉

We stayed here mid Sept. Very close to blue lagoon, which was fun to do at night. Large communal space with cooking implements available. Showers & multiple bathrooms. We didn’t shower here but toilets were clean. Large bins for trash. Busy area, might be hard to get a spot in the summer. Close to grocery stores & N1.

Best camping site we’ve been in terms of facilities. Real kitchen, in a spacious hot living room. Very modern. Shower and toilets included and very clean and modern. Would recommend +++. Area for kids too.

Very good campsite. With a really nice common space. We were in Iceland in October when it was rainy, windy, and cold. So that common room is exactly what we needed.

At first we come around 4pm it’s so empty, and then couple hrs from that it was so full. So i think they are coming from the Blue lagoon and then camp there at night.
The facilities are good, clean and the kithen area also cozy and warm.

This was a very nice campsite. The price was 2200isk per person per night. Therefore you get a nice hot shower with no time limitation and clean facilities. Furthermore the service was very nice. We slept there and on the next day we made our hike up to the volcano. Since we have sweat a lot and our flights went off that evening we did ask if we could again use the showers because we slept there the last night and the staff were so nice and allowed that.

Clean toilets and kitchen. Not like the rest campsites...feeling like you are alone but it was ok for our last day close to Reykjavik final destination before skylagoon!

This was our favorite campsite!! We ended our trip here and it was very relaxing. The kitchen and eating area is large and warm (an actual building, so no wind!) and the showers and bathrooms are all heated. Plus endless hot water! Also, many people leave behind extra cooking supplies, so that it helpful. I would stay here again and again.

Stayed for one night in a campervan on our first night into Iceland. Was a very positive experience for our first campsite. We arrived when the reception was closed but that wasn’t a problem as we were still able to get all set up and a gentlemen came to our vehicle to check us in later. One electricity pole gave us a hard time on setup but there were multiple spots so we just pulled up someplace else and it worked fine. There is a very nice area to sit inside if you don’t want to be in your camper and there is a cooking area and sink to wash up. There are separate shower areas and toilets. Both were very clean and warm so no complaints. It was a reasonable price for the facilities. All prices are posted on the website so no surprises. It was nice they were open in winter (late March) as that was a major concern on finding a place to stay. Also VERY close to the blue Lagoon so it’s a nice stop over if you plan to take in that site. Would recommend to other travelers.

I write this review after having made the tour of Iceland with a small 4x4 equipped with a roof tent and with the campingcard. We slept in 14 campsites and what I can say is that some of them only have 2 toilets and... that's all. So if there is only one shower, even a small one, it is already a good point.
About this campsite in particular, it is among the best of our trip. Very clean, a common room with kitchen (close at 9pm). We did not use the showers because we came back from blue lagoon.

This is a great campsite, especially if it your last night with a campervan. We cleaned up our van and used the campsite kitchen for cooking to keep everything tidy. There is a really nice set of playgrounds for kids. Our kids were super happy for the hour or two in the morning that we were breaking down bedding and packing our bags.

We stayed at the Campsite right after arrival at the airport as well as our last day before departure. It‘s situated perfectly for start and end of your Iceland trip. Also the blue Lagoon is near. The facilities are very clean, there is a kitchen, possibilities to eat in and outside, warm showers and two toilette buildings. Fee is 2000 isk per person. The campsite is not that big, so I recommend to arrive not that late.

One of the best campsites we have been in Iceland. Clean facilities, big common room with kitchen and utilities, cafes and shops within walking distance. Free showers, camping card accepted. We even saw the northern lights, which was awesome.
