Super friendly and helpful staff, they even made me dinner after the restaurant was already closed, they let the pool open one hour longer than usual due to late arrival of my girl, and the next day we had a lot of recommendations on where to go to see the most beautiful highlights in the area! Thank you so much, would definitely visit again!

Isolated and perfect. We walked in, the gentleman asked what we needed to which we replied food. He promptly went back and cooked up fried cod, slaw and salad. The food was really delicious.

He spoke with us for a bit, and we found out the place used to be a school where the staff lived on site.

Pretty awesome and erie out here. We were the only ones there.

We used the camping next to the hotel. Great facilities (showers and toilets with heating, sinks, electricity). For an extra fee we could use the swimming pool and hot tub of the hotel, both with hot vulcanic water. Those also have showers with nice and hot dressing rooms. The campsite is covered from the wind. Covered eating area with tables. For 3 tents and 7 people, we payed about +/- 80 euros. Hosts were helpful and gave us extra information about the area. We saw some seals in the fjord. Great views from the hot tub and the camp site, magical place!

Quiet place, for quiet relaxing.
Nice 50m. pool, deepest place 2.5m.
Loots of minerals in water. Water coming direct from earth. It is about 96-98 degrees. But it is mixing with ocean water and pool temperature is about 36-38 C. Lots of place to hiking. Grows many berry's such as crow berry and blueberry and mushrooms. Clean rooms and good cook. Nice place for couples or older people.

I visited Iceland for the first time with my main goal being to see the aurora. We decided to head north and chose this hotel after reading a travel article which mentioned it. I was very glad we did.

We flew into Reykjavík around 16:00 and by the time we had driven to the Westfjords it was getting late, we called ahead and asked if we could arrange for some food as we hadn't really eaten. Upon our arrival at the hotel at about 22:30 the chef was still there waiting for us, despite discovering we were the only guests booked in to the hotel for our stay.

Nothing was too much trouble, even though no-one else was in the hotel we still had a full spread of buffet breakfast put on each morning. Jón brought us drinks out to the geothermal pool while we splashed about hoping to see the aurora, he showed us places to go to see wildlife close to the hotel. We were made to feel very welcome.

On the first night there was no aurora, but on the second day after we were resting in our room after exploring for the day Jón came and knocked on the door to let us know it was starting, he drove me a little way from the hotel to show me a good spot to watch from while I waited for my girlfriend to get ready and then we enjoyed the show with our camera for an hour or so before getting into the pool and watching them dance across the sky until the early hours when they faded.

The experience was amazing, the hotel was clean and well kept and the hospitality was second to none. The pool is also a big plus, it is so warm that you can stay in it no matter what the outside temperature (it was around -15c while we were there).

I would go back in a heartbeat and recommend it to anybody.

This is a totally lost place in the middle of nowhere, except for a half broken-down hotel and an automated gas station and - one of the best pools in all of Iceland, making it worth coming here. 50 m of naturally hot water (unbearable on one side, very nice a few paces in). You should also take a stroll to the old pool and see the natural hot sources. You can also swim in the ocean in winter, near where the hot water from the pool flows in.

Arrived by accident and the place was closed. Lovely guy still let us use the pool and offered us coffee and delicious cake! Made our day!

We haven‘t tried the Hotel, but the pool was truly amazing!! Right next to the sea, lies a huge hot tub/pool with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscapes.

Stopped here on our drive around the west fjords for some much needed coffee. We also tried the happy marriage cake and their Skyr cake which was fantastic.
