We stopped here for lunch while driving around the coast for a bit. It was so delicious. We had the cod and sweet potatoes and the meatballs. The food was excellent! An amazing introduction into Icelandic cuisine for us!!

Whoa. Super glad we discovered this little spot. Incredibly helpful staff and amazingly tasty food.. So much for your money. We were there for breakfast and the plate was great with the tea and cake and just wow. If you're in the area, don't miss it!!

My 3rd visit here and the food and service did not disappoint. I always come here the day we land to fuel ourselves up. Absolutely love it. Their Skyr with cream and fruits is absolutely divine. Their cappuccino and hot chocolate simply yum. Will definitely go back again. They were closed the day we left due to a holiday. We were looking forward to having a breakfast there before we left.

Really tasty food and fast service. The Cod with nut-salsa, soybutter and sweet potato mash was very unique and delicious, highly recommended 😋 Definitely worth stopping by if you're visiting the Blue Lagoon.

Best breakfast we ever had. Tasted and presented like fancy restaurant food but at civilian price point. Love the chia pudding. Love the smoked trout. Simply amazing!!! This is a must stop. Can't wait to come for lunch.

Great ambience and delicious food. The staff was courteous and able to recommend vegetarian options. We got bread platter, tomato pasta with garlic bread and Veggie patty sandwich. The bread platter was exceptional, especially the red pesto that it came with. The sandwich was good too. We were a bit disappointed with the pasta, it was too dry for us but overall tasted good. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Reykjanes Peninsula.

Probably the best breakfast we had In Iceland. Leaving a 5* review hoping that good things will allow Grindavik to reopen and this cafe get back to making beautiful foos.

If I'm ever in Iceland again, this place is top on my list to revisit. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal... However, volcanos are not welcome, so avoid if you have any volcanic tendencies.

One of the best lunches I've had. This place is great, lots of seating, and free wifi. I got a chicken pesto sandwich (#3 lovely disa off the menu). The peanut butter smoothie bowl, just wow! Both the oatmeal and chocolate chip cookie were so good I couldn't decide which one I liked more.

Excellent in almost every way. All the food is home made even the dessert. Lots of vegan options, outstanding service, great choices and comfortable seating. We left here wanting to improve our home cooking

The local fish came from the North Atlantic Ocean this morning. One of the best places so far we have come to in Iceland.

My first visit was ... I think in 2017 ... and I've liked it ever since and it's one of the places where I've never been disappointed with the food or the service. 👍

Actually every time I go to the Blue Lagoon or Grindavik, where I have family roots, I love to drop by Hjá Höllum for a light meal and/or freshly brewed coffee with a yummy homemade sweet treat. 😋👍😋

Today I shared a delish Vegan sandwich and a pecan cake with a friend ... and tasted two of the places speciality breads that were outstanding; especially the multigrain one with the seeds & other yummy ingredients! 😋😋😋 The pesto mayo was also tops with the white bread loaf topped with feta cheese.

Consistent delicious healthy food. Staff always warm and friendly. I often go out of my way to eat here each time I visit Iceland (2-3x/yr.). Also try any one of their bakery options - you won't be disappointed.

Great breakfast spot. Entrance is in the middle of the white building (with other businesses like Vinbudin, etc.). Restrooms are available here, too. The breakfast platter with advised, selected modifications is great. I got the smoked trout and greek yogurt (no syrup). Self-serve coffee comes with the platter. You go up to the bar area to get it. Husband got the bacon and greek yogurt (with syrup). Bacon is crispy and delicious. The bread that comes under the eggs and avocado has a delightful sweetness. Highly recommend this establishment!

Wonderful food and friendly service. The vegan option today was a salad with a veggie patty, mango, pumpkin seeds and a sesame dressing. The vegetarian option was a quiche with potatoes and salad.

We stopped here on the way from the lava tunnel. Their sandwiches were fantastic. They had some cakes behind the counter as well, which were fantastic. This was one of the best restaurants that we stopped at.

After exiting the rental car pickup, this is the first stop after a long flight.
Welcoming and friendly, local and healthy, with great flavor.
Highly recommend for breakfast, juices, sandwiches, and coffee drinks.

Very delicious and healthy! We loved the breakfast platters, smoked salmon with feta bread, and the fresh juices. I highly recommend this place for breakfast.

Delicious local secret hidden inside a mall. The cafe has a selection of flatbreads, pizzas, and sandwiches which will help you recover after a long hike or day of excursions. Plus, the brewed coffee is delicious and free (Amazing)!!!

Amazing breakfast! They also have great prepared sandwiches and smoothies that make the perfect pack lunch when visiting the volcano 🌋
