There was no active volcano or lava emulsifying from the crater, but the erupted lava was impressive. We made the Geldingaladir viewpoint on the 9km trail hoping to see more lava. We saw the erupted lava looking like volcano rocks and stones with effervescing aromas of SO².

Great landscape we have never seen before, dunes and tundras all around. Ice on the path and volcano aside. Sun on the right and moon on the left. The land of ice and fire.
