Mount Subasio

What’s not to love about Italy! Assisi is one of the most beautiful cities located in the Tuscan region! The churches alone are spectacular and the you’re surrounded by beautiful country! Although you may not be in Rome or Venice, Tuscany is well worth the relaxing trip!

Beautiful hike from Spello to Assisi, around 19 km, enjoying amazing views of the ancient (and disappeared), Tiberino lake, actually transformed in the very fertile umbra valley, and the unique landscape formations, the doline, depressions caused by collapsed caves in ancient times.
I know there's a longer route (which I haven't personally taken), that goes along an ancient Roman aqueduct

We love trekking on mount Subasio, doing it for the last ten years.

Very good Place for hiking, Mountainbiking and paragliding as well - with 3 takeoffs in several directioms - almost easy toplanding - easy to fly high over Center of Assisi - lovely historic and holy town

Assisi in Italy is beautiful and serene, the cathedral is magnificent. The town is quaint and easy to walk around and there are many little shops and places to eat.

We drove right over the top of Mount Subasio. The views were amazing! The road is a little rough in places though, don't do it if you're in a hurry! We were absolutely fine in our fiat panda though.

This nqtural park offers so many different trecks, all easy and all extremely beautiful with views on Assisi, the Appenines and the valley. On a clear day you can see Lake Trasimeno! I suggest doing paragliding and visiting the tiny medieval jems (with only 10-15 people living in them) of Armenzano, S.Giovanni and Collepino. Just breathtaking experience with nature and history.

Fantastic climb, cosy restaurant Gli Eremi 1 km from top, beautiful monastery and hiking trails up top.

Braciano is a beautiful place to visit and when you are there you have to stay at SWEETY HOME, such a sweet place very welcoming and has 2 beautiful bedrooms in a few words you have the whole place to yourself.

The Park of Mount Subasio contains the cave in the mountain above Assisi where Saint Francis went to pray as a young man. It now contains a chapel and places for quiet contemplation along the mountain trails.

Absolutely amazing.

An amazing place to visit, everything about it is breath taking. It is a must if you are in Umbria
