Perfect service , not pushy but more about recommending and allowing time to eat + digest 😀. Both the daily menu dishes were fantastic. We took the opportunity to sit outside and it really added to the experience. A perfect evening 🤩. Highly recommended if nearby ( within 10-15kms) , do reserve prior.

This could be the start of a beautiful story, and we are fortunate to have gems like this place
I don't know if Michelin guide knows about this place, but it's about time that someone gives them, the credit they deserve
The place is formidable, with vintage stuff on the entrance and spreaded across the room
Yes, the waiting time can be daunting
But when the food arrives it's from another world, and makes you forget the waiting
From the bread and olives
To the grilled cheese with tomato jam
The meat, namely the tournedo is awesome and the regional dishes are perfect
You get a modern touch, but respecting the original recipes
Service is out of bounds
Did I tell you already that the food is incredible?
This a gem, and needs to preserved like this
Not to fast, like in Alentejo, but with everything on the right place

We had a delicious meal here while staying a short time in the lovely town of Mertola. It is a beautifully appointed restaurant in a former yacht club. Very stylish decor but not fussy. The menu was very meat heavy. We shared some great prawns to start and had pork dishes as mains. All cooked well and beautifully presented. The local wine was delicious too.

What a lovely and charming spot in Mertola. Stopped for lunch on our way across the country. Private balcony for dining outside, and the food was spectacular! Indoor dining space also lovely. Well worth the extra miles to eat at Tamuje and visit the quaint town.

An amazing restaurant in a very picturesque village. The tomato soup and the venison are heavenly. The cod / coriander soup was very nice but I hate coriander so I didn't eat much. The selection of wine is wide and those we tasted were very delicious. A must-visit.

Very good food for a very honest price. Fresh produits, from fish to meat. Professional staff. Good choice of dishes.

Excellent restaurant!!!! So far, this is our favorite meal while visiting Portugal!! We were driving through from Lisbon to Seville and chose to stop here—that was the BEST DECISION!!!!
The food is absolutely phenomenal. My husband had the steak with mushrooms and thyme while I had the chickpea curry. Both were delicious!!
The atmosphere is also lovely. We sat on the private patio, which was quite a treat.
We are already planning to come back on our drive back to Lisbon.

Excellent food, excellent service. Try the grilled cheese, and don't miss the tomato soup. We had venison, wild boar, and a matured angus steak, all well prepared and served. Well accompanied by a local red called Balanches. Modern comfortable space. Superb meal! Make sure you have a reservation.

Wonderful night. Reserved a balcony table. Even though it was 38°C that day, it was cool and pleasant by 7:30pm. Service was attentive and kind. Food was delicious. Had the cod and venison.

What a delight to find this restaurant in Mértola: we were welcomed to an outside balcony table, which was perfect since it was really hot that day, and had a great culinary selection from the regions. I recommend the “Sopa de Cação” (River Shark Soup) and the “Açorda de Bacalhau” (Codfish Bread Soup), very typical dishes from Alentejo and of great quality here…and the view, the view was phenomenal!

Wonderful food, really attentive staff. We had the deer steaks and the black pork plumas with migas. The deer steaks were just amazing. Also had the grilled cheese as a starter, with tomato jelly. Superb!
