What a positive surprise! Great food and lovely service. Generous portions and a pleasant environment. If we lived closer, we would be regulars!

We had a wonderful evening here. The hosts were so effortlessly kind and in good spirits despite being exceptionally busy.

This place is clearly a favourite of locals as well as tourists like ourselves. Large family groups are easily accommodated, though I'd book, and we just walked in and got a table for two.

The food was second to none. On Google maps this is shown as a pizza place. They do pizzas but I didn't see many people ordering them as the rest of the food is so delicious. We had cod and lamb stew as mains and barely finished them they were so generous. Those coupled with beer, bread/olives etc and two desserts came to €33, great value if you ask me!

They take cards and we saw a sign saying they take a month off in September so be careful around then.

Traditional food from the region of Alentejo. It's a bit of the main path, but it's worth it. The true alentejo experience, with great food, from migas, açorda and black pig, sardines and many others excellent dishes. Highly recommended!

Great place to eat traditional portuguese food, cheap and with super friendly staff.

Perfect food, perfect ambience, perfect service. As always. Been visiting every year when coming back from holiday, for 4 years straight.

Fantastic, traditional Portuguese cuisine.

We had the rabbit and pork cheeks. The rabbit is seasoned perfectly and the pork cheeks are incredibly tender and come in a delicious sauce.

Bread and olives await you at the table as you sit down. House wine is delightful.

A lovely family run restaurant with typical Alentejo cuisine. The grilled octopus is the best I have had so far in Mértola. Elisabette is a lovely, friendly hostess. She speaks English and Italian and I've heard her speak Spanish as well. The home made desserts are excellent as well.

Very good service, with menu's offering 1/2 dose which is just enough to make you stuffed and full if you've got a party going.
Good prices as well, no complains, except some of the menu could have better description of some of the dishes tho.

Exceptional service, delious traditional local foods. A classic family owned business. They spoke beautiful English and were so helpful. Great wine choices too. You must eat here if you want to enjoy the best of the region.

What a shockingly surpringly spectacular find. Best "proper" pizza I've had in the longest time. Fully recommend. Don't go in expecting a beautiful spot, but who the hell cares when the food is so good. Traditional meals, so know what you ordering Or ask then. Carnivores haven. There are however fish options and there is vegetarian pizza.
Oh and the prices very reasonable for the generous portions. Enjoy

Don't ler the name of this restaurant fool you. It indeed has pizzas but the stars are the tradicional dishes. Really homy and cozy food. Extremely well seasoned.

Best Alentejano dishes. Incredibly friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

The service here is up to the most polite, friendly and thoughtful that I've encountered. If you're looking for amazing traditional food, don't let the name "pizzaria" fool you, this is still your place!
