Jungfernsprung

A gorgeous waterfall in the middle of a green picturesque valley.

A small free parking lot. Just beneath it a nice stream of clear water in which you can dip your feet.

If you walk uphill for about 5 minutes you will have a beautiful view of the waterfall and the valley.

You can walk a bit further up (about 5-10 minutes) in order to get a closer view of the waterfall. Quite a steep pathway, but not too difficult as there are wooden steps and fence along the path.

If was a wonderful discovery during our road to Salzburg. The waterfall is amazing!
And there is convenient free parking just right at the bottom of it. Some info-shields tell a legend about the young maiden and explain where the waterfall got its name from.
There is also a hiking trail to the viewpoint on the top of it.

Must see and easy to get to.

Very nice waterfall, visible from the main riad. Short but rather steep hike to the viewpoint, suitable also for children.

Without knowing of exisiting such a beauty on our road we accidentally found this spot. But it is exactly a wonderful point to have a break and get closer. There is an interesting story correlated with the waterfall and about a maid living around. Girls hair should have looked like a waterfall. Story. There is also good stairways and some wooden scuplture to have better photogenyc captures with the waterfall and forest.

Really beautifull! Dangerous to climb real high up (we went quite a bit up on wrong shoes), remind yourself you need to get down too and check how you would go about that before you reach that 'point of no return'!! Loved it, but I consider ourselves lucky we didn't have any slipups.

It was a pleasant 20 min walk to the waterfall. You can oark there freely and there is no entrance fee

There is an observation area close to the waterfall, but requirea a little effort to reach it.

Great place to view the water fall, quiet and serene

Leave your car on parking lot just next to the road than go a few minutes by walk. The path is not friendly for really small children or for disable persons. You can see Jungfernsprung from road too!

After the very nice trip through Grossglockner Alpenhochstrasse we liked to have a small break for lunch at the restaurant in front of the entrance of the waterfall. After a short trip by feet we were there. Nice place!

Very nice place with viewpoint (a bit - 15 minutes uphill on foot) to waterfall. It is really huge watefall. Nice place to make a photo.

Drove by on our way to Salzburg. We saw this waterfall and immediately pulled over to have a closer look. The experience and Story behind the fall was breathtaking.
