Imagine yourself in a very peaceful environment by the lake in Albufera. The food is delicious, especially the paella, mussels, and tuna salad, which were my favorites. The staff provides great, attentive, and friendly service. This is a place I would visit over and over again with friends, family, or even for a romantic date. After the meal, you can enjoy a boat tour for 5 euros per person. It’s definitely worth it!

We visited this restaurant today after a boat trip across Lake Albufera. It is located directly on a canal, so you can watch the boat trips while you eat.
We were very happy with the food. I had the pepper eel which tasted good. In any case, you should order some bread with it, as it resembles a liquid stew.
My wife was very enthusiastic about her salmon tartare, which was both tasty and visually stunning.
With a beer and a sangria, including tip we paid €50.
The service is fast, friendly, courteous and multilingual. We also liked the ambience. Highly recommended!

Pushed back trying the paella Valenciana (rabbit and chicken Vs. the usual sea food) until coming here as it was meant to be one of the best. It definitely raised to the expectations and everyone loved it.
The portions are humongous and a 2 person paella easily feeding 3+ people, particularly if you get some starters.
Don’t forget to leave room for dessert - the baked tarta de queso is heavenly.

The staff is very friendly and since they are honest about the amount people should order - not something a lot of restaurants do.

It’s a very popular place so must have a reservation ahead of getting here.

Excellent 'paella valenciana' and desserts but very slow service, probably because the terasse and the restaurant were full. Nice view. The staff was kind and arrange us a table under the sun.

Service was very friendly and recommended us (a group of three) to only take a paella for two because the portion is big and we ordered starters. It felt very honest and he was right i ended up taking two boxes with leftovers home and got to enjoy the delicious paella the next day again :)

My very first paella valenciana. I normally don’t like eating rice that isn’t purely arroz blanco 😅 but my oh my I understand the craze. This OG paella 🥘 is really good. Not marisco, but with kuneho (rabbit) and pollo (chicken) andddd with the garrafon, it hits the homerun. El Rek is such a cozy homey ambience. In the summer, try booking the table in the terraza with the sound of water from the lake. And I really liked the red wine our waitress recommended. Shoutout to the great service from Eli. Ü

Ps. Don’t forget to make a reservation. This place is quite fully booked all year round.

Nice restaurant in beautiful Albufera, national park of rice fields very close to Valencia. Because of the area we went for the obvious choice - paella, recommended by Jose, who served us; with duck, foie and mushrooms and few little starters. Very tasty food and great service, all in a very unique area, surrounded by rice fields. What a great experience!!

The restaurant is large and has a lot of space to sit. It also has an exterior sitting area that is very pleasant. Recommend it very much.

All perfect. The paella was the best we have eaten so far. Andrea our waitress was very kind and helpful. The boat trip was amazing. All really recommended.

Very nice spot in el palmar to come for lunch and have paella or rice. The food is good and the views from the restaurant overlooking the river is great. The tapas options are good with very local dishes and the rice itself is very good. The service was great and the overall experience is very pleasant. The prices are a bit more expensive than what you would normally expect to pay but the food vs service is well with it. Highly recommend coming here if you’re want to experience the true Valencian lunch time.

Fideua with vegetables was delicious and very huge (we ordered for 2, ended up very full plus we took away one big portion). Beautiful terrace and friendly staff. I recommend to have lunch earlier as around 14/15 it gets very busy.

When in Valencia, you have to have a Paella in Albufera. This was a very good choice.

Fantastic seafood paella, order in advance with your dining reservation. Restaurant grows their own rice! Canal behind back deck offers boat rides. Some winding narrow roads to reach your destination but plenty of parking available.

The best paella, big portions and great bravas and Russian salad! The turron dessert after was also very tasty! I totally recommend to also make a guided tour with a boat in the lake before

We had the paella with duck, foie and mushrooms and it was amazing! The size for each portion is quite significant. Highly recommended
