Au Chalet Gourmand

I dined here with my grandparents a couple days ago. I’ve been once before last year but I don’t like to write reviews after one visit. The first time was exceptional, and the second time probed to be even better.

The food is just amazing! I like to try things that I wouldn’t usually order and they were extremely tasty. The truite tartar was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. Sweet, salty and slightly spicy. The tournedos de boeuf was sublime, so tender and juicy. And of course the potatoes on the side were perfect. Live the garlic and nutty taste. The tiramisu for desert was the best tiramisu I’ve ever had and I’ve had authentic Italian Tiramisu.

The service was brilliant. We were served by 2 kind and friendly servers that kept checking in on us to see if everything was up to OUR standards. I applaud this, I’ve not been to many restaurants with this kind of service. Thank you to those to servers, they made the experience that little bit better.

All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant, its one of the best I’ve been to. Great Service, Exceptional Food, Good Wine Selection. 10/10

We had a delicious 3 course menu here tonight, it all tasted and looked superb. All the staff were so friendly and kind. Highly recommend it.

Wow, we haven't had such great food in a restaurant for such a long time! Friendly waitresses and chef, spotlessly clean and very nice set up. The Coq au vin is one of the best things in France. We will definitely be going to this restaurant again...... thoroughly recommend and fantastic value!

A wonderful all round experience. Friendly staff who welcomed our 2 dogs. We shared an amazing 1kg Angus rib. Thank you.

I didn’t expect the meal to be so so good! It was all very lovely. Service was good too. The only downside I’d say would be the walnut cake… pretty dry and mediocre. But all of the savoury things were excellent.

Excellent rapport qualité prix avec le soir un menu à 28€ qui est vraiment incroyable compte tenu du cadre bucolique avec au loin le château de Castelnaud, et des plats bien cuisinés et de qualité. C’est simple mais bon. L’œuf cocote aux cèpes était légèrement trop cuit mais délicieux avec ses mouillettes, le clou du repas était le cassoulet qui était vraiment savoureux, bien mijoté, un régal. Bonne mousse au chocolat. Le verre de champagne à 7€ ! Imbattable ! Service sympathique. La terrasse est très agréable. Très bon moment.

Nous avons déjeuné ce midi en famille, sans réservation à 4.
Les plats sont incroyable, aussi beau que bon...
Cuisine de terroir, on sent le fait maison.

Accueil chaleureux, personnel au petit soins pour nous et notre petite chienne.

Fait maison, la nourriture est très bonne et de qualité.

Un restaurant chaleureux, avec une superbe vue sur le château accompagné d'un balai de Montgolfières. Que dire des plats, ils étaient excellents. Des produits frais cuisinés avec amour. Ne pas hésiter à réserver une table afin de déguster votre plat sur la terrasse.

Un réel sans faute ! ☀ Nous avons passé un agréable moment en famille au sein de ce très joli restaurant ( vu sur le château de Castelnaud) accueillant, chaleureux, ou la bonne cuisine, la passion des saveurs et la politesse coulent de source ! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! Je recommande TRÈS fortement ce rendez vous gustatif.
