Well worth a trip. We'll definitely be back.

Last Sunday, we nipped off the motorway as it was very slow moving.... and we found this dog friendly place.
Lovely little pub, lovely staff, and the food was beautiful, we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was raining heavily outside and we were snug inside with great food x thank you 😊

Just had one of the best meals I have ever eaten, the mushrooms on garlic bread with asparagus and hens egg was fantastic, definitely coming back and soon

A perfect destination for a couple to enjoy some time together, will definitely call by again when in the area.

We stayed overnight in the motorhome for free. We had a "few" drinks and some lovely food. I had a Lancashire hotpot and my wife had a steak pie, which was a proper pie, not a casserole with a lid. Lovely meals and a great selection of vegetables with the meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly and we happened to have a small private room right next to the bar and had a nice chat with the manager.

Well after the last meal with last owner was an absolute disaster I have yo say the new owners have smashed it out the bag !! Done the place uo lovely and tried new menu today was incredible

Solid portions - served within 10 minutes after we ordered, lovely staff and quiet atmosphere. Really good for families with children.

They service food till late, which was unbelievably helpful on our road trip. The pub is nice and has a cosy vibe. Everyone was lovely and they were really on top of their service.
Would happily visit again!

It was fairly quiet when we went. The staff were great and the food was very nice. And home cooked.

Great value dining on Tues and Thurs so I'd recommend you book a table. Good quality food and generous portion size. Made us feel very welcome despite them being very busy.
