The Somerset Arms

What a little gem hiding in plain view. I'd not visited here for a very long time. The exterior lets it down a little, but don't be fooled and do venture inside. The pub has been modernized but with a very tasteful touch, keeping authentic character in a spotlessly clean and comfortable way. You'll find a warm welcome with excellent food and service. Granted it was quiet today, but the genuine warmth from the owners speaks volumes. Three different meals, and sweets, and all were very much enjoyed. We will be returning very soon.

Lovely dinner 3&2 course. Great value and tasty. Pleasant atmosphere all around, lovely staff. Very cozy space to have dinner with the dogs, area behind the bar, generous enough , plus outdoors garden with lovely tables and big umbrellas. Quality of service +++++ thank you. 😉🐾

Attentive friendly staff and the food that I ordered was enjoyable. Was advised that there was a bit of a wait for food but to be honest my food order arrived in reasonably quick time (and I'm from London where the pace of life tends to be quicker). They offer a small and a large portion size of fish and chips - the one in the photo was of their small portion which was plenty large enough even for my healthy appetite! Will be back to try out some of the other meals this week as I'm staying in the area on holiday and this is effectively my nearest local.

Booked for 3pm Sunday dinner for 4. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was very nice and enough to feed an army. After starter and dinner there was no room for desert. Price was good as was the beer. Recommended.

Great staff , enjoyed good conversation about the history and places of intrest around that area...

Friendly staff, good selection of drinks. Beer garden was big. Brilliant play area for the kids.
Lovely setting.
Was there for a party, the food buffet was really good.

Brilliant little pub. Amazing food.

We live so close to this pub restaurant but have never visited before Sunday. The Sunday lunch was the best we have had in a long time.. generous portion sizes. Lovely interior and super friendly staff .Nothing was too much trouble .
Lovely little play garden too . More suited to the older child ,maybe 4 yrs plus
Great countryside location.
Have already planned our return .

Have been to the somerset arms on many occasions . We have never had a bad meal. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Went there last night for a meal. Food was absolutely spot on . Nice atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely go back there when we are in the area again.

We had sunday lunch here this afternoon and the food was fantastic. We were a table of 5 staying in Dinglestow and this place was recommended to us. The pub itself was tastefully decorated and felt really homely. We all had different meats and there was plent y of it. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and everything was tasty. The young lad that looked after us was very polite and friendly.

So thankyou. If we return again to this area then we will definitely eat here again.

Amazing atmosphere. Food is amazing steak melts in your mouth and burger is out of this world. I would recommend this place to everyone good quality food for your money 😃😃😃😃😃

A group of us attended for Sunday lunch, the team were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The food was really enjoyable and good portion sizes. There's a large garden with a children's play area so great for kids. Enjoy
