Usual Waitrose, step through the doors into Narnia, great products, but some really self important customers - the ladies who have to poke every chicken on display to pick the one in front of them... You know the ones.
Basically a better selection of goods than most, but that's the point of Waitrose isn't it?

I visited this store twice during my trip to Monmouth & I really liked this one !! The front entrance was a bit walk to get to ,meaning it wasn't facing the street .About 15 seconds to get around to .It was right across from the Monmouth bis stop ! Very easy to spot it !! It's got a bathroom at the front right before you go in the store on the left hand side & they had 3 ,or 4 stolls & clean ! One of sinks was out of order. Waitrose is definitely the best supermarket to buy organic produces !! I bought a pack of organic blueberries at £ 2.50& raspberry at £ 2.75 there which were delicious / fresh ,no mold at all which is hard to find ! I ate 'em in two days !! So~ good !! I also had my cream tea at their Cafe inside ( £3.75 total.£2.10 for a pot of tea & 1 scone w/ butter & jam for £1.65 )which was good & reasonably priced ! But a bit harder than real good fresh, soft scones !! The ladies working there were very friendly !! A very clean cafe !! I saw an elderly couple who tried to give one of 'em a tip which she very kindly / politely declined .It was very sweet to witness !! I also bought several shopping bags of Waitrose !! For souvenirs ! One was only 50 p ea !! ,in mid green ,very nicely designed & prints on the one is classy !! Great one to pick as a souvenir as it's ultra light & won't take spaces to pack !! My mom & sis loved it !! Also got a 1 mid size bag w/ insulation inside ,again very nice prints ( green stripes ) ,it was only £ 3.50 ,or less !! As well as 1 large organic cotton bag for £6 !! All are great souvenirs !!

A very nice little shop parking is adjacent in a public car park with good views of the river.
I personally found the staff friendly and helpful I would go back

Ever popular. A tad more expensive than elsewhere but the money off marketing vouchers help through the phone app. Disabled on street parking nearby and a car park at the rear. Cafe closed. Many gaps in the frozen produce section. Suppliers having a hard time perhaps given the economic climate. 3 tills had staff. 1 checkout was closing. Slight wait at till. A small number of shelf offers but they did have products that were hard to find elsewhere.

Lovely big store, great to do a weeks shop in. We’re staying over in Forest holidays (Forest of Dean) and this is a nice local store. And as ever because it’s Waitrose the staff were all so friendly. Due to covid restrictions the cafe was closed at the time of my visit. Has free on site customer parking for up to an hour too.

Lovely store great range, staff are all very friendly. My only complaint it the toilets need a good clean. Other than that great store.

Excellent service and staff so helpful
Ordered the Fiona Cairns rose decorated cake and carrot cake for my son’s wedding . It was only a small gathering due to restrictions. However , the both items were beautiful and delicious- I was impressed with the sturdy packaging and it helped to make the day perfect for the bride and groom .

Waitrose in Monmouth is generally a pleasant place to shop and the staff are lovely. I only say generally because the cafe has gone and I used to go there fairly often and now miss it. It's still a lovely store.

Everything required within. No rush to shop. Been visiting here for 3yrs.
One anecdote occured in November this year, an elderly gent was ahead of us on the till, but was diligently engaged in conversation with a charming same age generation customer attendant, who patiently explained thrice that the customer cannot have the price discount on his selection of jars, because according to the system the price does not apply to his picking.
He returned twice more until he finally accepted that he had chosen the wrong ones. Groaning he asked the woman "why does the discount only apply to one type"? The lady bemused replied with a smile "I don't know" then upon our turn apologised for the delay caused by this gent who would'nt accept that he'd got it wrong"
My wife said "lucky he's not yr husband" she uttered with mirth "don't wish that on me"

Great store with good parking and excellent selection. Staff are super friendly and helpful. If you are looking for some special items or want to go above and beyond on something food related then this is the place to go.

All the Waitrose stores are very well located and we went shopping here while on holiday as usual the staff are pleasant and food was of high quality which is what I expect from Waitrose. Our local store is in portswood Southampton and we shop there all the time so we looked for a Waitrose when we arrived in coleford and this was the nearest and it was well worth the drive to get there. Keep up the good work at all the Waitrose will be visiting soon.

Lovely shop, nice staff, well stocked and usually quiet enough to get all the required items without to much avoiding the reckless ones.

Great staff both inside and outside of store. Checkouts efficient and better since covid single queuing system gone! Usually enjoyable shopping experience.

Great all round experience, good parking, we went on a click and collect visit, the instructions were clear and the sevice first class, would not hesitate to recommend Waitrose at Monmouth.

Lovely choice of ready meals whilst having energetic long days out on holiday from Chelmsford, Essex. Beef bourgignon, paella , passion fruit cheesecake for some.x
