Stunning nature reserve! Beautiful views and cute sheep 🐑❤ lovely all year round, especially when the heather blooms. Just remember to bring a jacket as the wind can make it quite chilly even on a warm day 🧥

Hedleyhope Fell nature reserve is a fantastic spot for dog walking! The paths are well-maintained and easily navigable, making it a delightful experience for both dogs and their owners. However, be cautious when sheep and cows are present, as they add an extra element of excitement, but require careful navigating. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy nature with your furry friend! The views are stunning

It happened that I was travelling from Middleton in Teesdale, home to the south of England but I wanted to look for Bumblebees. As I arrived a group was being led to do just that. I joined them and saw for the first time Heath Bumblebees.

The site is extensive with a fine view. Very interesting.

Beautiful walk, the views are spectacular. Sheep just walk around ewe and are clearly used to people being close to them.

Bracing wind is probably to be expected - there's a reason they've installed several large wind turbines just the other side of the road.

It's a nice, hour-ish walk around the fell, very achievable even by a fat lad like me. Look out for the sheeps. Don't stare at them, you'll spook them.

Interesting nature reserve with information boards. Lovely views. Choice of 3 walks of varying lengths along the valley or on top of the fell. Worth a visit.

Hedleyhope Fell is amazing, it never looks the same. If you choose to walk from the top you can clear your mind in the breeze, if you walk from the bottom you get some nice bridges and streams. The paths are grass and gravel and are well maintained. Beautiful place.

Enjoyed a couple of beautiful snowy walks here this week. Particularly liked walking up up to the wind turbines; they're so huge up close!

Excuse the photo where I look a little shocked by the snow in my beard.

Beautiful nature reserve with great views of rolling hills, and wind turbines. There are a number of routes along the top of the hill, and lower into the valley. It is the largest nature reserve under the Durham Wildlife Trust. Absolutely worth a visit.
