St Chad's College • Durham University

As a wedding photographer this is one of my favourite venues in Durham. It has its own private Chapel in gorgeous gardens which are lovely for photos. There’s also a large covered courtyard for evening celebrations or in case of rain. St Chads has plenty of charm and I can’t wait to shoot my next wedding here!

Had our nephew's wedding here yesterday and couldn't fault it. Wonderful location next to cathedral, incredible interior and great service. The main dining area is very impressive with beautiful chandeliers and the covered courtyard area for the evening do led onto the gardens. The staff were excellent with great friendly service and the meal and canapés beforehand delicious. Only negatives are no parking anywhere close and only 2 ladies toilets so often queue 😳

St. Chad’s College has long been regarded as one of the best colleges in Durham.

i stopped by here a few days ago and all i have to say is: i love chad. its beautiful. the church, the university, everything!! 10/10 would recommend
