Magical, is the word I would use. The location is just absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains and lush greenery. The building itself has so many great places to relax and unwind. The owners and staff and dog are really friendly and attentive to your needs (well maybe not the dog on that one). There are loads of delicious breakfast options, and the evening meal was very high quality. You're only a short drive from the start point for Snowdon.

Only thing I didn't particularly enjoy was the shower in the room we had - it's a sit in the bath and wash yourself with the shower hose type job.
Some people complain about the track/driveway up to the hotel, but I'd just say that they can't drive :p
Would 100% stay again.

Another lovely stay with Keith and Jay at their delightful hotel in the heart of Snowdonia. Came here with a friend for a few days walking last year and loved the place so much I couldn't wait to come back with my girlfriend

We had a most enjoyable 3 night stay here. The place was fully booked but even so we did not feel that it was crowded. It is an excellent base for walking. The village is beautiful and the location of the hotel is very peaceful with excellent views from our room and from the lovely and well maintained garden. The restaurant provided us with a wonderfully satisfying meal on the night that we dined in. This was our second visit and there is no reason to expect that we will not go again. To the staff I say, thank you for sharing this wonderful location with us.

5 stars! My experience with Sygun Fawr has been wonderful. The location is lovely and so are the rooms. It has just the right amount of remoteness, without at all being too far removed from the town. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Just sincere nice people. They'll make you feel right at home. Also if you're like me and enjoy a good meal in the morning: they serve THE best breakfast.

Stayed the Sygun Fawr Hotel for a couple of days (off peak) and had a really nice stay. Very welcoming people, a home from home feeling. Beautiful building, beautiful grounds.
Short walk into the village which also is very beautiful.

The hotel was at the top of a steep drive; my car could only manage it in first gear. But it did manage it. We didn't get there until 20.00. Host was very pleasant and happy to have a chat whilst relaxing in the lounge by the fire. That made the experience quite personal; I liked that. Room was alright, bed was comfortable enough. Nice and cozy. Location was relatively close to Pen-Y-Pass. Breakfast was decent enough in the morning and we were off to walk up Snowdon...

We had a wonderful stay at Sygun Fawr. From the location (15 min walk to Beddgelert) to the comfortable beds to the freshly baked croissants in the morning, Sygun Fawr checked all our boxes and more. It's a very unique little property that will surely be feeling like home after only a couple days. Thank you Jay, Kieth, Jane and the whole team!

Stunning setting with 22 acres of its own land! Lane up is tight but it’s an old farm house so to be expected. Hosts are really helpful and friendly, answering our questions and especially with a walking route we were unsure of. Room itself was a little basic, but ideal for just one nights stay. Breakfast was good, the honesty bar is something I’ve never seen before and is a refreshing way of having a drink! Make sure to give Buster the dog a fuss! A lovely stay and highly recommended.

Mind blowing. Beyond all expectations. Amazing family/friends set up.
Buster the dog as the welcoming committee.
Restaurant food is really good and such warm hosts everywhere.
We love this place. Having travelled all over the world it’s mind blowing and we can’t wait to get back.

Love this place. Used it as a base for a few days walking with a buddy but heading back in the Autumn with my partner to show her what a gem I've found. Breakfast was excellent and my only regret is we went to the pub for dinner - I'm sure the food would have been better if we'd stayed put! Oh, and should have taken the time to explore the 21 acre grounds!

We have just spent 2 nights here, having received an exceptionally warm
welcome from the owners (and having been let down by another local hotel at the 11th hour). The house is a tasteful mix of old and new, spotlessly clean and the location and scenery are equally amazing. Don’t stay anywhere else, you won’t regret it!

One of the friendliest, most relaxed places I've ever stayed - The food for Dinner was superb. The breakfast choices were spot on and cooked to perfection. I can't recommend it enough.

A really lovely hotel, situated half way up a quiet road on the hillside.

Clean, comfortable room. Tea/coffee and biscuits everyday. Hotel is a beautiful, surround by lovely little gardens, perfect for relaxing with a drink.

The break was AMAZING! And the service was so friendly and helpful.

Would absolutely stay again.

What a delightful discovery this is. A beautiful hotel in it's own, very secluded grounds on the outskirts of the wonderful village of Beddgelert. The owners love the hotel and its surroundings and they are determined to make sure that you have the best stay possible. The staff have also taken on this determination, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave they make sure that you have everything you need. They were so welcoming, showing us around the building, explaining what was what and then showing us to our room. The room itself was perfect for us and we also had a door that led out onto our own private patio/seating area. Breakfast was excellent, I had full English for the whole stay, my wife opted for the omelette on the last morning and now I have to up my cooking game to make one as good. We had a three night stay and left so relaxed from the tranquility of the area, we could not get over how peaceful it is. We now know why the owners fell in love with the place, we will be returning.

True hospitality; my colleague and I were the only guests and nothing was too much trouble for the owner - she even dropped us down into the village for our dinner as we had very tired legs from a long day of hiking! The beds are amazing comfy, there was plenty of piping hot water for a long soak after the day’s exertions and the fry up at breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Having just returned from a 3 night stay at the very picturesque Sygun Fawr Hotel in Snowdonia, I feel compelled to immediately write a review.
This gem is hidden away on a hillside, & provides stunning mountain views of Snowdonia, whilst being only minutes away from the enchanting village of Beddgelert.
We were welcomed by Anna, who must be a prize asset for the hotel owners, as she is friendly, helpful, & highly efficient, a true professional for whom nothing was too much trouble, and always with a smile on her face.
The room we stayed in was on a corner of the hotel, giving us fantastic views in 2 directions. It was well equipped with all the usual facilities, and spotlessly clean too, as was the whole hotel.
The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with a well stocked bar that operates on a self-service basis, with an honesty policy whereby you simply write down what you have taken & it is added to your bill.
The breakfasts were wonderful, with an unusually extensive menu - my personal favourite being the waffles with fresh strawberries, banana & maple syrup. And we were also able to order packed lunches to take on our walks.
I can't complete this review without mentioning the lambs that visited most mornings and evenings to graze on the hotel lawn. They really added to the experience, we could see the smiles on other guest's faces as they encountered them.
We left the hotel with slightly heavy hearts, as we really wished that we had the time to spend a few more days there. But hopefully we will be back another time.
Thank you Sygun Fawr Hotel, and especially Anna

First of all hotel location is magic and remote. Beautiful views and fresh air this is what you will get as soonest you arrive at Sygun Fawr Country House. Cleanliness of hotel is excellent.
We want to express separate thank you to Ruth and Kate who delivered fantastic service throughout the stay and in particular, tasty and vegetarian-friendly breakfast and dinner were the highlights of the visit. Amazing! We definitely will be back.
