My golf mate and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was a fantastic stay with great clean rooms, fantastic on-suites with very powerful showers.
The hotel has a lovely open lounge leading to the bar with spectacular views onto the beach and castle at night. Exceptional food at breakfast with plenty to eat with cereals, pastries, fruit, full Welsh breakfast, and so much more.
Evening meal was just as fantastic with a great menu to choose from.
Fantastic staff in every department .

We recently stayed here for the bank holiday for our wedding anniversary. The staff were all extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. We booked the standard double which also included a lovely breakfast. The room was great, clean and comfortable. The lounge area is lovely to sit and have a drink from the bar and watch the seafront in evening. The seafront is literally over the road and a nice short walk across. No complaints at all. Thank you for a lovely reception and stay. We would definitely recommend.

An unassuming hotel staffed with the best hospitality in Criccieth. We have visited several times and the staff are extraordinarily polite without being obsequious. We were told that it's painted every year and you can tell - it's spick and span. The lounge is pleasant to relax in with a drink, looking out across the bay. The restaurant is excellent and the cheeseboard a must. The duck rillette starter is geniously paired with brioche and pickles.

We went to the hotel for a meal after recommendation from friends. We have to say that we weren't disappointed. The Menu is not huge, but a good variety of freshly cooked meals at reasonable prices. The service was excellent, as was our food, and the decor and furnishings were great. We will be back.

We were lucky to stay at Caerwylan for two nights on a golf break.
It's a beautifully kept hotel in a fabulous location within yards of the sea and with a view of Criccieth Castle (lit up at night).
The rooms have clearly had some money and care spent on them, as have the bar and restaurant areas, which feature some lovely contemporary design touches, complimenting the traditional feel of the hotel (and its magnificent old-fashioned lift).
We ended up eating at the hotel both nights we stayed, and were delighted we did, as the food was top notch (particularly the lamb!).
But what really set Caerwylan apart was the warmth of the welcome.
The staff here are an absolute credit to the hotel - even a "very well done sausage" wasn't too much trouble for them 😁.

Another fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. Location, rooms, quality of communal areas, restaurant and staff combine to provide a truly classy experience. By far the best hotel in the area. I can't wait to return!

A most enjoyable stay. We found the service to be exemplary from the very beginning when I rang to book after a failed attempt to book online. Was given an upgrade and a discount without asking. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful Seaview- great powerful shower and a bath also with a view ! The hotel decor throughout was of great standard and it was obvious the owners had taken a lot of time and effort in their redisign & refurbishment. We had a great dining experience from breakfast to evening meal - highly recommended.

The hotel location is perfect with free parking in front of the hotel. The rooms were superb, very well presented, clean and well stocked. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating especially with an elderly relative who had special requirements. We had both breakfast and evening meals each day. The food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to you as a base to explore the Llyn Peninsula.

I stayed here on a last minute booking after a day of bad weather walking the Wales Coast Path. The single room was clean and warm and had views of the castle and sea. The hotel is in an ideal spot and the views from the dining room are outstanding.

The staff were very welcoming, despite me turning up like a half drowned rat and they offered the use of a drying room.

A had a delicious evening meal and cooked breakfast. The staff were very accommodating with me wearing only (clean) socks as my only shoes were soaking wet. Recommended.

We were a party of 9 golfers staying for 2 nights b&b. We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and on one evening we ate in the restaurant and the food was incredible, everyone of us had a wonderful meal. Highly recommend this hotel and will be back again

Lovely hotel. My daughter and I stayed in a twin executive room with a sea view. Toiletries, robes and tea and coffee facilities were provided. Both days we had a more than adequate breakfast in the hotel and one evening we ate in the hotel dining room and the second evening we ordered room service. The food did not disappoint and the service was professional and friendly. All staff deserve praise for making our stay enjoyable.

Ate in this restaurant while staying in the town. Had some truly excellent steak as a main course. Friendly staff. (Didn't stay at the hotel so can't comments about that.)

This was our second visit to this hotel and it was even better than the first time round. The quality of the rooms and everything in them is superb. The care that is taken in the hotel is noticeable and even more so since Covid. The staff seem to be really happy in their work which then reflects in the service they give. We were looked after by Laura who was extremely attentive and always cheerful and friendly. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, the bar offers an excellent range of drinks from beers to spirits.
Finally the Tonnau restaurant the food is just exceptional, when I go out for a meal I like to have that feeling of wow that was an experience and that's exactly the feeling I had when eating the food in this restaurant. The cooking was to perfection using all fresh beautiful ingredients. It was an amazing meal. A brilliant hotel highly recommend.

This place is situated in the most beautiful part of Wales that I have ever seen. Food was amazing and the staff were even better. It is run by an amazing team but 5/5 is too little of a rating. If I could give it a higher rating I would. Room is suitable for a King.
