Lovely place to sit after a walk and enjoy food and drinks of your choice. The ingredients are mostly locally sourced, and gluten-free cakes and oat milk are available! Tip: if you don't want/need a disposable coffee or tea cup, you can ask for a mug 💡

Great little cafe and great knowledge of coeliac disease. Felt really safe and they offered lots of gluten free options. They even let me know that they have a separate area for preparing gf food. I had a gf ham and cheese toastie which was delicious, really quality ingredients. I didn't have cake but about half of the cakes on offer were gluten free! My partner had the beef pastie (he's not coeliac) which he said was delicious too. Great place for a bite to eat!

This log cabin is a great place to eat after exploring Monmouthshire and the River Wye.

Breakfast is served till 11. Lunch from 12. Lots of great choices.
Cakes, crisps and ice-creams available too.
I had the panini which was warm and tasty. Sooo good! Great views too. Benches outside the log cabin to sit and enjoy the views.

Viewpoints overlooking the valleys and river, few walks and trials around too. Can walk for miles and miles.

Parking is £3 for 2 hours. Free for Forest of England members. Toilets. Bins (only by cafe)

The cafe before the viewpoint is a great stop and they literally have / cater for almost everyone! They were knowledgable on gluten for my partner who is coeliac and the portion sizes are great!

Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. They were speedy and had our food to us in no time!

A scenic spot, friendly + helpful staff. Good selection of meaty, veggie and vegan options. A sweet little log cabin, can't think of anywhere better to have an ice cream in the sun or breakfast in the forest!

Fantastic coffee (in case latte)! Amazing cakes (among many food offerings)! Seating (including picnic tables) recently upgraded. Amazing views of the forest, the river and (if you're lucky) of peregrines 👍👍👍

Fantastic little cafe in the perfect spot. We walked from the Forest Holidays lodge to Symonds Yat Rock and the cafe was positioned perfectly for a cup of tea and a carrot cake (which was out of this world). If I can give more than five stars I would.

Lovely run coffee cabin! Service was very cheerful on the cold day we visited! and their hazelnut latte was needed after a lovely walk down the forest to the river (yellow) route.
The viewpoint was beautiful and it’s definitely worth a visit, even if you’re just passing through

Really good food after a steep climb!
We walked up the path from the carpark by the Royal Lodge. It was steep for us very picturesque. The cafe was very welcome. Staff were very friendly. Food was tasty.

One of my favourite cafes to visit whilst out cycling. Amazing real log cabin dating from the 1950s where friendly staff home bake cakes and savory foods whilst also offering excellent coffee. The Yat Rock is about 200 metres away across a pedestrian bridge and boardwalk and disabled parking is close by via level ground. The only improvement that Forestry England could make is to provide some covered seating for rainy days, as presumably due to covid measures, the benches around the inside of the cabin porch were moved outside.

Well worth the short wait as it was the best "independent" oat flat white I have had in years. The walnut and pecan slice was also perfect. Staff very friendly too.
