What a lovely dog friendly cafe. The food is delicious and very well presented. Service is excellent and the setting is beautiful. I had a cream tea, the scones were really fresh and warm and served with jam and cream. The toilets are also super clean and user friendly. It's a must if you are in the area!

This was a great find... even though ot felt we were entering a private party to start with!! Some signage might be good.

Great food at reasonable prices and lots of places to sit inside, outside on hardstanding or on the lawn. Great views.

Friendly and attentive staff.

Such a fab cafe in the most gorgeous location. We love going and eating in for lunch and then getting some cakes to take back home (such a great selection, lemon and elderflower is a firm favourite). Service is attentive and friendly. All around a lovely experience :)

Went for the afternoon tea today and absolutely loved it! Everything we ate was delicious (the wild boar sausage rolls and lemon posset were particular favourites on our table!) and perfectly portioned. We've been for lunch/tea and cake a number of times and it is always fantastic. If you're in the area, definitely stop in!

Once again I am writing a rare review. Hen and Dots was incredible, the cakes are to die for... but I digress.
The staff at Hen and Dot are very polite and professional, helpful and very good. Back to the cakes... Oh... um... mmm... Delightful is just one way to put it. Another would be... DO NOT VISIT IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DIET... But seriously forget the diet for a day and GO!
Everything looked delicious, the cake I had was yum - I'm trying to down play it not to be over the top - Ourselves and our friends had great refreshments in lovely surroundings. Following this we had a lovely walk beside the River Wye leaving our vehicle at the Hen and Dot car park which they were happy for us to do. All in all it was a great experience and it took all my will power (and the fact that the cafe was closed when we returned) not to go back for another slice. Thanks to all at Hen and Dot Cafe - We'll be back and back and back and...

I’ve had two amazing lunches at Hen and Dot over the summer, accompanied by the most beautiful scenery and views! The food was fantastic, particularly the homemade quiche and wild boar sausage roll! This was followed by some delicious cake and coffee. All of the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Will definitely be returning!!

My new favourite coffee place, lovely seating and patio area, which seems to be a little sun trap. Cakes all homemade and excellent, wide range of teas and decaf coffees available which is great. Staff very polite.

A nice cafe in a beautiful setting, especially if you get a good outdoor table with a view on a sunny day. The blue cheese and walnut scone was absolutely to die for and they serve Cawston Press rhubarb, which isn't available widely enough for my liking.
