Beautiful views from up here. Popped up here late one afternoon for an amble and caught the sun setting. Was lovely to see the snow drops out and moss covered stones and trees. Spring is coming 💚🌱

Very narrow in places for a car. Beware of other cars using this road. Nearby is a monument to say thanks to past navy hereos who fought in the past battles in the 18th and 19th century. .

Had a great time. Bring water to drink but there isn't a bathroom so drink sparingly. Great views

We decided to travel by car up to this area of outstanding natural beauty. The views are breath-taking and your imagination and senses can begin to take you back to a place and time when things were a lot simpler. There are dwellings scattered along the roadside and it makes one think how ' lucky it would be to wake up every day to see these views and breathe in the fresh air , and hear the calls of nature'. Once at the top of the Hill one cannot be disappointed, even if the view can be on some days shrouded by Mother Nature's mist or clouds, there are woods that just scream out to be explored, woodland trails to be walked. Your children could learn about the wonders of nature and your pets could stroll by your side without the noise of traffic or everyday life. It is a retreat from the noise a place of comtemplation. However be prepared there are no public toilets or refreshment facilities. There is access for all parking although ( Disabled Parking spaces are limited). Please also be aware that it could be quite difficult underfoot in places and some paths and trails would not be accessible to all.

Seen the place on YouTube, read about it and visited the place. They say Nelson visited to see how the town below had honoured those that had given their lives, the navy who had thought so wisely in battle. Amazing and if you think back to when it was built. Wow.

Fantastic free view point across the Wye Valley from outside the round house, which is temporarily (I hope) closed. Access is via a steep single track road with passing places.

Beautiful views and unusual buildings. No facilities here. Steep, bendy, narrow access. Wonderful walks. National Trust.☺

Very windy when I was here, although it was a very nice view and I took some excellent photos. Having walked 20K before arriving here, it made the long walk along Offa's Dyke well worth it!

Nothing can prepare you for the spectacular view from this place. After driving up a fairly steep, mainly single track road, you arrive in a wooded car park. Still unaware of what is 100 yards away you will be gobsmacked by the amazing view and the intriguing folly which stands at the top of the hill. If there's ever a place to go to contemplate then this is it. I could post a photo but it wouldn't do it justice and would spoil the surprise. So here's just a snippet.

We went on a sunny Friday morning. Plenty of space for parking and great views over the Wye. Good spot for a walk or picnic too.

Nice view over Monmouth. Tight single track road to get up there though. No entrance fee to walk around.
