Found The Guy Pratt Betsy bass on Bass direct. Emailed regarding availability and purchase options and Mark came back to me within the hour with all the options and clear instructions. Once purchased the bass literally arrived the next day!!! It was set up perfectly and arrived in a gig bag too! First class service and I doubt I’ll go anywhere else for a bass.

Incredible store to deal with. They got a bass from the UK to me in Australia in FIVE DAYS. Perfectly packaged, reasonable shipping fees, brilliant price on the instrument and a kind hand-written note on the packaging. Unimprovable perfection and almost certainly a supernatural element to their shipping procedures. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Absolutely fantastic. First class service me purchase was easily done on line communication between customer and seller great you kept me fully aware of the process of my order.
Delivery was very fast and great care taken to ensure that the product was in good condition. The driver was very polite and cheerful. The quality of my purchase was absolutely fantastic great value and as new even though advertised as used.

I recently purchased a Sandberg 5 string jazz bass and while I had heard great things about Sandberg I had not actually played one so I was a bit apprehensive about ordering a bass sight unseen. I had a nice chat with Mark about the bass comparing it to a few other basses which really helped in my decision.

The best part was Mark did give me a few days of trying it out with the option of returning it and applying the purchase to another bass. Even better was for £15 he shipped the bass up to Edinburgh next day courier delivery which was so much better then the £200 and 10 hours of train travel to get down to the shop in person. ( Although of course it would be best to stop into the shop in person!)

Needless to say I did not need to send it back! The bass arrived perfectly and was beautifully set up. I only had to make a few very "micro" tweaks to have it be perfect for my playing- ( I am really really picky about string spacing and neck alignment and this bass was about as close to perfect right out of the box as you get).

Love the bass and can't wait to get down to shop in person! Kudos bass direct for great service and an awesome instrument!

Bass Direct is basically, the only exclusive bass orientated store in The UK and it's geared up to provide the majority of associated equipment pertaining to the bass community!

I've spent tens of thousands of pounds in there and the staff provide excellent expertise about everything bass!

Why wouldn't l give the store 5 stars?

It's because when I do part-exchange deals, I've always been what l consider to be ripped off because I generally fail miserably in getting a fair deal for the gear that I'm selling to them in part-ex! I pretty much dislike trying to sell my gear personally so I feel that the store is my only way...

That's notwithstanding the fact that I'm still happy dealing with Bass Direct because of all the very positive attributes they have.

Best combination of options and value for strings. Sent & arrived quickly, as described. Only criticism is that the website could do with better filtering options. In particular it'd be useful to be able to see only sets with X amount of strings, but this isn't a big enough issue to warrant 4 stars instead of 5.

Oner the last 18 months I've bought a new bass amp, speakers and an effects pedal from Bass Direct, also did part exchange of a 10-year old bass combo. Always good, professional service. A couple of weeks back I bought a new, high-end bass combo from them for a theatre show I'm doing soon. It arrived promptly but the power amp was dead. 3 days later a courier arrived with a new replacement and the defective amp was collected. You find out who you can trust when things go wrong. Marcus and the team at Bass Direct put things right without fuss. I trust these guys and recommend them to you.

Bass direct service, excellent. Very pleased with the Bass too. However APC who delivered the Bass left a lot to be desired, the box was significantly damaged, luckily the Bass was not damaged.

Ordered a new 2x10 bass cab on Thursday and asked for a Saturday delivery. This was offered without additional cost and the cab turned up at 8:30am Saturday morning. Mark at Bass Direct answered my emails almost instantly and got everything sorted. Excellent service! (as usual :D)

This is First purchase with Bass Direct (Hipshot D tuner for my stingray bass) and I was very satisfied with the service. Excellent communication and quick delivery. I fitted it as soon as it arrived and was gigging the same night! Can't recommend them highly enough and will certainly see what else they have to offer.

Great experience using this store, both in person and online.
They are a bit scary sometimes with their knowledge and they don’t suffer fools gladly. So as a pro level fool I get my bum handed to me occasionally. Quite justified I’m sure.
The main takeaway is that they know their stuff, they don’t have a guitar centre type “strip you of every penny “ attitude and the products they stock are the real deal. They don’t tend to stock garbage at all.
Their selection of used instruments is awesome and well worth browsing every week for some right good value.

Great team at Bass Direct, very friendly and efficient. I seem to keep buying basses from them online, this my third and if they weren't good I wouldn't keep on going back.
Visited the store too - what an experience, nothing was too much trouble - want to play a spector - "sure, try it though this amp. Have you seen this pedal" etc etc

Bass Direct are my first port of call when it comes to ordering any kind of bass accesseries that I require. They are fast efficient and always reliable. Brillant service. What would I do without them?

I have bought equipment and accessories from Mark and his team for some years now and have always been impressed with the service and knowledge shown by Bass Direct. They only deal in quality products and I have to mention particularly the Phil Jones Bass Cub combo which I bought recently to use with my Eminence bass. The sound is crystal clear and at every gig someone comments on this. I just do not bother to go anywhere else for equipment and advice.
