International Macrobiotic School

I can't praise this school enough, I did the plant based cooking weekend, it was fun, informative and enriching. My partner gave me the course as a present, we stayed the weekend, in the warm comfortable farmhouse. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, the food is so healthy and tasty, I've completely changed the way I cook and eat. I would never have chosen this course, but having done so, I am so glad I had the opportunity. It's been a life changer and I highly recommend it to everyone.

This is an amazing place with knowledgeable teachers who are very talented at passing on their skills in an easy to understand way, they also take time to listen. The whole feel of the school is one of support but it is also fun, I would recommend anyone who has the slightest interest in their health to get along there as soon as they can.

I have just begun the holistic nutrition and cooking year. The school seems well run. The teaching is delivered in a timely and understandable way, and its fun! The food cooked by Lara is incredible and her teaching is clear. I had a shiatsu session with Dejan. So good! Im really looking forward to the rest of the modules.

I studied here for a year and it was incredible. Although I don't follow a strict macrobiotic diet in my daily life, my eating habits have certainly changed for the better and gaining the knowledge to understand my health problems and to help others has been invaluable. Thanks Oliver and everyone at the school!

Great professionals are working here ! I’ve attended an online course “ Six steps to Wellbeing “ and it was really super helpful, I found there loads of new knowledge & practice, it was well structured & useful. Very recommended. I’d like to visit it once in presence.

Just completed the plant based weekend with Dejan, stayed in the farmhouse which is cosy and in such a beautiful location in Devon. The course was excellent, I had booked it to learn more about plant based cooking and macrobiotics and it delivered. The food was incredible, tasted new flavors, learnt about new ingredients to use and came away enthused to try the recipes at home. Thank you again Dejan, your knowledge, passion and love for macrobiotic cooking shone through and it was a lovely small group which added to my experience.

Attending the macrobiotics course for around 4 years was a great turning point in my life... I've enjoyed the medicinal cooking, do-in and shiatsu the most.

Wow what an amazing experience I have had this week on looking after your health course .
The staff are truly amazing Lara and Dejan are a real asset to the school .I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to look after the their health and heal their bodies .

I have recently taken the first module of the one year course. I've been interested in food and nutrition for a while, to take care of my health and improve well being. I could not be more pleased with the course material; the common sense, patience and acceptance of the course tutors for different people to find their way to optimum health in their body and mind. If you are considering taking a course, do it, you won't regret it. Thank you Oliver, Emma and Bini.

I have attended a number of courses at Murtwell House, prior to lockdown and more recently I have been enjoying the online Healthy Plant Based Cooking Course with Lara. I felt I learnt a lot more about macrobiotic cooking by watching Lara's demonstrations and then undertaking the menus at home. I really appreciated Lara's enthusiasm for cooking, her knowledge and continuous stream of ideas for adapting dishes - wonderful! Thank you.

Excellent food and tuition

Poor and/or lacking in food safety hygiene practises. Course is overpriced and failed in delivery of any true knowledge on the subject. I wasted a year's fee here where I could have learnt so much more online for a fraction of the cost.

Phoned up a year ago for one on one with Oliver,, paid 130pound,,for an hour I came away with basic eat more veg,,didn't ask me much if anything,,still not offered check up year later,,want my remaining 30 back,,waste of money
