Great choice of pies with choice of accompaniments including Beef dripping or vegetable oil fried chips, Mash and choice of gravy. Good desert selection.Nice surroundings and excellent service.

The food here is outstanding. It's a small establishment but with a cosy and friendly setting. A bit of a walk if you've started at the bottom of town but, in any case, worth the effort. There is a good selection of drinks too. Will definitely come back.

We had been considering this restaurant for many days and took a chance one evening and nabbed the last table. The ordering process was easy and the staff were fantastically friendly, patient and accommodating. The menu was lovely and a real challenge to decide. When the food arrived we were very pleased with the presentation and delivery but it was nothing compared to the taste of the meal. The pies were cooked beautifully and the gravy was amazing. I've been recommending the pie street to anyone who will listen.

We didn't have reservations, but we're easily accommodated. The food took about 20 minutes as the waiter had said.

The chicken, Leek, and ham pie was delicious, served with minted potatoes and cabbage and a cream of mushroom sauce.

Reasonably priced

What a great meal! The pastry for the pies was delicious it was full of meat and full of flavour. The chips were to die for. You definetly get a good hearty portion and we loved the gravy.
We would highly recommend you vist and safe space for the desserts.
The staff and service was friendly and attentive, they looked after us very well and even gave the dogs a little chicken, which went down very well with them.

Really tasty pies with wonderfully crisp pastry. Good selection of beers and ciders, lovely local ice cream and coffee too all in a lovely surrounding. Definitely want to return!

Now I have a dilemma. Up to now I had a favourite pie available from a pub near home. However Pie Street's steak and ale pie beats it hands down. I could tell you that the superlight pastry just melts in your mouth or that the chunks of steak just fall apart releasing their succulent flavour, or I could bang on about the super crispy chips but actually the absolute star of the show was the pie street sauce ( completely undersold as gravy). Nothing, I mean nothing could have made this meal better. The staff were super polite and attentive. Little touches like safety scissors in with the condiments for those of us who just can't open those darn packets. I just wish we lived 250 miles nearer! Fabulous guys, be proud!

Fantastic little eatery. The staff were super friendly and very attentive.
Food came out quickly and was nice and hot. All of it was delicious. The pie was full and the pastry was to die for.
Bonus, it's dog friendly too!

Fantastic food and superb service - without question the best steak and ale pie I've ever had! The staff were lovely and were really good with our young children as well.

The best pies we’ve ever eaten & one of our favourite Totnes restaurants. They are all delicious, & with veggie, vegan & gluten-free options there’s something for everyone. Great beers on offer too.

Best chips in Britain!
Only 1 vegan option but it is to die for. Good cider and drinks selection as well. Friendly service, clearly a loved place in the local community.
Also dog friendly with water available for your furry friends.

These have to be the best pies we have ever had! Desserts were amazing too! Lovely staff, so friendly & welcoming. Great selection of drinks & beautiful decor. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could! Definitely recommend :-)

What a gem, I expected the pie to be good, the clue being in the name, but the chips and the gravy were just as brilliant. An absolutely great meal, washed down with a decent pint.
But something that showed real thoughtfulness was the condiments came with a small pair of scissors for those sometimes difficult sachets.

What a pie! You could tell this pie had been lovingly made and filled to the top with high quality ingredients. The side options were also excellent. My husband loved the chips and my roasties were gorgeous and very filling. Trying to decide was the toughest bit! Thanks to the very friendly staff. If visiting Totnes it has to be on your list.

Brilliant friendly place , with excellent food (nice beer too), all locally sourced. The pies are made on the premises and are of a very high quality. The three times cooked chips were superb. Portion size is generous. I would highly recommend a visit. (I split the pie in the photo to pour on the sauce).

Nice high street restaurant with relaxed and friendly vibe. I went for steak and ale pie with their triple cooked chips and it was fantastic. All parts were cooked to perfection with great taste and served piping hot. I also had a taste of the soup of the day (tomato) which was equally as good. Just a shame it's too far from home to visit more regularly.

I would not normally be someone to be excited by pie and chips, but I decided to go given the positive reviews. Has my mind changed? OH YES. What an experience. The food was exceptional and the service was equally delightful. Thank you team!

Fantastic pie. Brilliant concept of choosing a pie, potato and sauce. Very friendly staff. Lovely and interesting venue. Will definitely go there again.
