The burger was phenomenal, loads of food and quality was top notch! Service was friendly and fast! Extremely good value and cannot wait to visit again!

We have heard how good this pub is for a while & finally tried it. We were not disappointed. We were seated near some regulars who had come from Brixham, they had been coming for years!

The food was excellent, plenty on the plate, well cooked, with plenty of veg & extra gravy for the roast. A good selection on the menu, a well stocked bar with good ales.

Highly recommend this pub, in fact we are meeting friends soon from Newton Abbott.

Excellent Sunday roast. Perfect beef, yummy Yorkshire puddings, lovely cauliflower cheese and heaps of gravy. Great service.

Great prices and venue, especially during their happy hour. Won’t struggle getting a seat and they also do decent pub grub

Amazing place in Totnes for a roast dinner. We go at least once a month and it’s brilliant. Great staff, nice atmosphere and a fair price! If you’re looking for somewhere in Totnes for great food, music and even a place to stay you need to visit The King William!

Great to be in a busy traditional pub. Excellent service from the friendly chap behind the bar both Monday & Tuesday. The food was excellent, homemade lasagna & steak pie was really tasty & well presented. Will definitely return when we're next in the area.

Great pub. Good food that was exactly what I wanted and the beer, Proper Job, was excellent. £5 pp. Don't be put off by reserved tables as the guvnor will sort something out for you. There's an extended happy hour from 3pm.

This place is great! The food is good, lots of choice, comes quickly and is very reasonably priced. We ate there twice on our stay and to get a roast dinner if you want, any day of the week is great!! But above all, the staff are very friendly and balance between tourists and locals perfectly and we felt so welcome both times. Highly recommend it!

✨We usually stop here for drinks sometimes food on a day trip to Totnes! Get in early as can be very busy during lunchtime. Great service, great range of food, the portions of food are huge ! And good choice of ciders. A great pub 👌 🍺🍲

Busier this visit, a popular place, and that was before happy hour! Can't rate food as didn't have any, though people next to us thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Nice atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff, good service, and a great pint of Proper Job 👍🏻

Passing by on Fathers Day, with the Euros as well on we thought no chance but they fit us in.

Only ever stopped for drinks before, so tonight we had a roast and a kedgeree, really enjoyed both, good size portions and really good food. Will return.

It's a breath of fresh air to see a proper pub that serves nice classic pub grub.
Well worth a visit if your parched or hungry, we can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Some good Vegan options, the fajitas were delicious, my partner enjoyed the Vegan burger. Friendly staff, nice vibe.

What a treat, a full monty ‘roast’ steak pie lunch wiv all the trimmings for £10.95. The rest of the menu looked great too and no doubt the portion size will fill you up 👍😋

What a gem. After walking out of two cafes that couldn't provide us with lunch because they've ran out of gluten-free bread or jacket potatoes, we saw the tasty looking menu outside and walked in. Greeted by a friendly bar man who provided a table, and we ended up having an absolutely delicious meal!! Really generous portions, and we didn't have to wait too long either. Best beef chilli I've eaten in a long time, and mother said it was the best kedgeree she's ever eaten. Very glad to stumble across this pub. Will be back when next in the area.
