We only popped in for a quick drink. We had never been to this pub before. It looks and feels like a proper pub. It has an excellent selection of drinks and cocktails with many beers on tap. We studied the menu and we will be returning for a meal.

My partner and I came here on New Year's day, as i was told on good authority that the food was amazing.
I wasn't disappointed. The game pie was simply delicious, the staff were super lovely and welcoming. We ate in the pub area, not the restaurant (i highly recommend this), which had lots of character and felt cosy.

We personally thanked the kitchen staff for our meal and they were such a charismatic and bubbly team. Beautiful people, tasty food and a perfect way to start 2024.

Lovely greeting on arrival. All of the team are friendly and the service is fantastic. The food is always very nice and never disappoints! Thank you for another lovely visit. We will be back again soon! My husband hasn’t stopped talking about the amazing homemade scotch egg!

Excellent Christmas lunch with colleagues, service was fantastic, food was divine and atmosphere friendly, warm and festive 🎅🏻🎄 Happy to recommend the venison pie but lots of food envy around the table at everyone else’s choice!

This establishment had rekindle my love of pub grub . We visited on a Sunday so roast was on the menu. I had the belly pork. Deliciously fresh. My wife had the fish pie. Will definitely recommend it,

Another fab evening at the "Wheelies". Friendly welcome and then quick and friendly service throughout our meal. Food arrived quickly and was DELICIOUS - all piping hot and very generous portions. I particularly enjoyed my chicken, ham and leek pie. The pub was busy and had a nice buzz about it. I've visited a few times now with family and will definitely be back again! Thank you to all the team.

Pub has a good atmosphere and just a nice feel to the place. Friendly attentive staff. It's a bit on the pricier side but the vegetarian options are more interesting than most pubs, and the food is good. We do keep coming back!

Have lived in Hurst for 20 years and this was our first visit, have tried twice previously but they were full, I guess we should have taken this as a good sign. Very well run pub, staff were friendly and helpful... even sourcing a new candle as ours was dead. Food was yummy, soup starter then nut roast. It won't be another 20 years until we go again :)

We had our Christmas party lunch here last week, food was amazing (the set menu had plenty of options for everyone!) and service even better. The pub itself is charming and perfect for both small and large gatherings. Would definitely return in the New Year.

This was one of the best meals we’ve had anywhere in the UK. Truly! Service was friendly and professional. The atmosphere was warm and festive for the holidays. But first and foremost, the meal was delicious. When we’re back in the area, we’ll stop in again! Thank you!

Perfect place for a meal and a drink. I have been for a late Sunday lunch and weeknight dinner with colleagues. Fantastic food and excellent service.

The food was absolutely gorgeous! we had the 6x haddock and Chicken burgers and it was all so tasty! The service was also top notch! thank you so much to the whole team.

If you want to have a Sunday lunch at this place it is best to book as soon as you can. I did not book, but the staff did state that we could order some things on the menu.

The members of staff were extremely welcoming, nice and friendly. They did all that they could to ensure that people felt at ease. Everyone who stepped int othe pub was greeted nicely.

If one is there for a small snack, the cheese on garlic bread was lovely. The service was quick and I cannot think of any way to improve.

The place was extremely crowded and it was evident that all of the members of staff were working exceptionally hard to ensure that everyone got served in a timely manner. The tortellini was nice and the sauce was lovely. It would have been better if it had been served with some form of melted cheese, but that is just my preference. The members of staff were friendly and attentive.***

Lovely meal in a great setting. With a warm greeting from the Manager, near perfect waiting staff and fantastic Kitchen staff providing a very tasty experience, we will definitely be making a return soon.

Had a group of about 20 of is here, the food came out on time and everyone had good things to say about the food. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the ambience is quite typical, overall very good place to go

Found this gem of a pub during covid. The staff are fantastic, food is great and the atmosphere is one of feeling at home. Whether you are meeting up with friends or having family celebrations, this is the place to feel relaxed and enjoy the moment. Ps great Sunday roasts!

Amazing pub, friendly staff, food is best in the area. Events they put on are always amazing. Well worth a visit. Also amazing with our dog 🙂

We had a fabulous evening here last night. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The food was freshly cooked and delicious.
The menu offers a really good range of dishes with something for everyone.
Some areas have been refurbished since our last visit a year ago and it’s great.
The large garden also is beautifully kept and an outside bar is being added.
Highly recommended.
