Quench Cycles - Bedgebury

I hired 2 bikes in advance for my boys today so that we could explore the forest. We ran behind schedule so I called a few hours ahead to change our booking with no problem at all! The staff were absolutely wonderful and engaging.

Even on returning the bikes, the staff asked about our time in the forest and took the time to discuss the bikes with us which were of excellent quality. They are all clearly passionate about their vocation.

We will definitely be back!

I have been regularly hiring bikes from Quench Cycles at Bedgebury for a couple of years now, I have also purchased clothing and equipment for the team and recently had my bike serviced by them. In my experience all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. I always get good advice and enthusiastic friendly service. They are a great team.

I hired my son a Whyte 905 hardtail today, which he loved! Staff couldn’t be more helpful and made adjustments so the bike fitted him properly. They then took the time to ask him how his ride was when we returned. Great bike knowledge and customer service as always. Thanks again!

Staff were great. First time on an e-bike. James took the time to explain how the controls worked and generally was very helpful. The bike was great and made cycling round the trails a real pleasure. Definitely a convert to e-bikes.

You couldn't ask for a better team of people to have at your local bike shop. Nick and the guys are absolutely fantastic. They always go the extra mile and are super helpful with any questions you might have. Every time I take my bike there it’s always a stress free process and for such a reasonable price too.

Dropped into Quench today to see if they could fix a broken dropper post cable. Even though their service department was closed, they got their tools out and fixed the issue on the spot! Amazing service and fantastic value as well. Will definitely be using these guys again. Highly recommended.

Excellent spot for family bike trails with bikes available to hire onsite. Works well for beginners too! Friendly staff who have helpful tips for first timers.

Visited to ride the Bedgebury MTB trails and found my dropper post was broken. So I dropped in at Quench cycles to buy a replacement, they were out of the size I needed (30.9mm) but offered to lend me a post and seat (from a hire bike) for the duration of my visit so that my day wasn't wasted. Top blokes can't thank them enough, will definitely return and use the shop. 🙂

Popped in there today. I'd found a lady on the trails with a tubeless tyre that had come off the rim, about 3 miles from the shop. I took the wheel in asking for help, and they didn't hesitate to inflate it for me. They saved an old lady from being stuck miles from help!

Quench have always looked after the servicing of my mountain bike. This month I took it to their new shop in Flimwell. The shop had an amazing vibe to it. Really easy to get to and plenty off free parking. As always the servicing was first class and very quick. Thank you Quench for continuing to look after me and my bike.

We hired an electric bike (full suspension) and a top spec whyte full suspension bike for three hours. Absolutely brilliant fun. At first glance it seemed a touch pricey (110 pounds with student discount) but then again the bikes we hired were probably totalled £5,000 plus at RRP. So on reflection it's probably not too bad. Helpful staff. Cheers.

Probably the friendliest and most helpful bike shop I've used and super handy for rides at Bedgebury forest. The staff at Quench have always gone out of their way to sort minor problems efficiently and quickly (mostly immediately as was the case this weekend when they instantly solved an issue with my new E-160 that I though would have my bike out of action for weeks) whatever bike I've been riding - 5 star service!

Fantastic day out. The team are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I hadn’t rode a bike for many years, and they put me at ease. We rented the electric bikes which are amazing. Plenty of different tracks to suit everyones needs. Totally recommend for a great experience with friends or family.

These guys really go the extra mile! We hired a couple of bikes from them and took along our own child's bike; our kid's bike rear wheel came loose when we were in the woods, and even though it wasn't their bike, they drove out to us and fixed it. Similarly, on another occasion I lost hydraulic fluid from my own bike's back brake on site and they topped it up there and then, free of charge.

Amazing customer service and care! We use to hire the bikes from Quench every time we went to Bedgebury, then we bought our own. We had an accident while riding- a chain broke on one of our bikes.

We send our son off to buy a chain and he came back with Jake, who has helped us to replace the chain in no time (we would have needed a special tool and we did not). Without him our day out would have been quite a different experience.

The team at Quench have been amazing when I’ve hired a bike a Bedgebury. The staff have been really encouraging and given great advice when it comes to helping out a newbie mature cyclist! There’s even a weekly Women’s bike club to help develop your skills on the trails through the beautiful setting of Bedgebury.
